The good news: an early release. The bad news: the majority of goodies is on the Blu-ray X-(
Clearly this is to promote the Blu-ray which strangely enough lacks a DTS soundtrack...
I love Skyfall but refuse to get pushed into buying a Blu-ray player.
I'm also tired of being "penalized" or treated like a second-class consumer for still buying DVD.
Yeh, I hear you.... but I guess DVD's are on their way out... it's like when CD's started to come in to replace the cassette... they somehow have to eek them out... and the best way to do that is by doing what they're doing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not agreeing... just seeing it from the production point of view.
She's worth whatever chaos she brings to the table and you know it. ~ Mark Anthony
I'm going to buy this tomorrow but I can't even watch it until Friday because I have stupid exams all week. FUUUUUUUU...!!!
1: Casino Royale 2: Goldeneye 3: Skyfall 4: Octopussy 5: Goldfinger 6: Tomorrow Never Dies 7: The World Is Not Enough 8: The Living Daylights 9: From Russia With Love 10: The Spy Who Loved Me
Why do you United Kingdom people get everything so late? Shipping time?
We in Germany are getting it much later, 1st March!
Good thing, that I have eben able to order from Amazon.co.uk and will be able to have a digital copy as well. Germany does not give that together with the Bluray.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Got it on Blu Ray last evening at the local Target. Just a couple of the Blu Rays were left. Looking forward to checking out all the extras/special features. The Blu Ray version is presented in the regular theatrical (non IMAX) ratio of 2.40 to 1. Kind of hoping they would have released the Blu Ray in the IMAX ratio of 1.90 to 1 (not cropped, but more picture information at the top and bottom) which would have taken better advantage of the 16:9 HD TV ratio. Wonder if they are saving that for a "Special Edition" to try to dig in to our pockets again 8-)
Thanks, Moore Than! I can't wait until you guys get it overseas! By the way, the disc looks very beautiful in the Bond 50 Skyfall slot -{
Really looking forward to it now.
To mark the release of Skyfall on Blu-ray and DVD, you can explore Bond's ancestral home in a new official interactive website and discover new Skyfall images, concept art, videos and interviews. Watch previews of the extras and new behind the scenes footage that explains how Skyfall Lodge was built (and destroyed).
I'm a little disappointed that (in the USA) their is no special promotions. I remember with CR & QOS the art book was packaged with the release, I believe at Target. Has anyone seen any promotions at any of the big box stores?
My apologies if this has been covered already? or if I'm being thick? but today I purchased the triple play edition of Skyfall thinking it would be worth paying the extra to get the bonus Bluray features on DVD. It was a bit of a surprise to open the box and find one all singing and dancing Bluray disc and one reduced content DVD & PC disc. To me, if I do not have Bluray, the only justification in purchasing this a "TRIPLE PLAY" pack was to be able to access the additional features on my DVD and PC.
In short if you do not have Bluray, buy the DVD!
There is a final point here, if you have Bluray why on earth would you want to pay extra for a reduced content DVD? This burns me as much as a soundtrack CD which does not contain the title track
Just watched my DVD for the first time and I can tell this is a Bond film that i'm going to watch A LOT. After about 3 viewings in the cinema I really wondered if it was going to be almost 'too epic' for general viewing. It didn't come across at all as one of those good ol' Bond films that you can chuck in the DVD player and just watch - it felt like i'd have to really sit down and concentrate but this first viewing really was an eye opener. Skyfall is a great movie and I can't wait to watch it over and over!
Just got my Amazon exclusive steelbook in the post and its a work of beauty. Such an elegant design for an elegant film.
Much much better than the standard Blu ray box art: Craig actually looks like a Bond for the ages on the front, classic yet modern, the colour of the steelbook being the same as the DB5 with the gold font working perfectly.
Got my steelbook and after a two month wait my Q mug arrived at the same time, perfect timing

I've just got my DVD copy of Skyfall in Tescos for £10. Now to review all of the Daniel Craig James Bond films for an article on The Bondologist Blog! I'm looking forward to seeing it as I only saw it once in the cinema in November 2012.

In reality, I'm getting the Blu-Ray tomorrow and then watching CR, QoS, and SkyFall when I go back home from University around March.

Hats off to whoever designed this.
Does skyfall blu-ray disc match with the 50yr box set at all ?
As there's a slot for the Skyfall disc, I'd assume so, though of course I don't know for sure!
It doesn't.
