In a special edition of Top Gear, Richard Hammond celebrates 50 years of James Bond films with a look back at 007's legendary cars. He also talks to Daniel Craig and Sir Roger Moore, gets exclusive access behind the scenes of Bond's latest adventure, Skyfall, and pays special tribute to 007 by attempting to turn a Lotus into a fully working submarine car. The programme is scheduled to be broadcast next Monday (29th October) on BBC Two and BBC HD at 9pm.

    Thanks for the tip, I just Googled search engines......but I'd much rather be called a Google meister than a Dogpile meister. :D

    Thanks for the tip, I just Googled search engines......but I'd much rather be called a Google meister than a Dogpile meister. :D

    It's a bit of a clip show, and only Richard Hammond presents, looking strangely rakish and Simon Templer-ish,. Their modified Lotus is introduced half way through then held off til the finale for its dip. Roger Moore, ever congenial, does an interview and shock - Guy Hamilton too, I thought he'd died years ago! Why didn't they get him to direct the last few Bonds!

    I am definatly getting the DVD of this, since I missed the orginal broadcast on BBC America. Top Gear and James Bond two my favorite things in the world.

    The thing I didn't like is how they bash Brosnan's movies for switching to BMW first off and second bash them for the cars not being in good chase scenes. They make NO mention of what the chase scenes in those movies were though. GoldenEye's chase was in the tank, on of my favorite chase scenes. Tomorrow Never Dies had two, one in the parking garage and one through Saigon. World's chase was in boats and one skis. All very good scenes.
