Tracking Device Replicas - Update - POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Not a huge spoiler.. but we are trying to follow the same guidelines that all the other AJB members are following so well.. and should be commended for -{ I might add... the same sensitivity is not prevalent elsewhere!

Our Goldfinger 'Homer' tracking devices have arrived and are now shipping. Not only are they a very cool and iconic Connery Era prop... and amazingly the first replica we have done that was actually part of Bond's arsenal. But, if you have seen Skyfall you will know there is a great homage prop that features in the film, the great great grandson of these if you will

http://www.factoryent.com/ProductDetail … ode=408148

We are working on a replica of the Skyfall version for early 2013 and we think the two will make a great 'bookend' set that reflects Bond through 50 years of gadgets...

Don't forget the first 100 direct orders also receive a set of 2 limited edition prints and we still have a few left, but they are going fast...

If you have per-ordered already your orders are processing and will ship out over the next few days.

    Hi Barry

Now I know you're not able to touch anything that looks like a Firearm but if you are going to do a Homer then can I throw an idea into the pot, how about it coming in the locking case with custom cut foam and supplying a set of custom grips as most of us have a PPK, either real, air soft or replica. Just a thought that I'm sure would be appreciated by fans.

Teppo - I believe Meg came across them by accident in the archive

Its very tricky, I can confirm we are looking at various ways to make the Skyfall homer a little bit more 'special'. But its all subject to approval at the ,moment so nothing definite

trouble is with this idea is that there are so many variants of the ppk/s about. marushin, maruzin, umerex, then theres all the cheaper knock-offs. i doubt it'd be as simple as make a grip that should fit, as they'll all have different sizes, shapes and ways they attach to the frame of the gun.

Just ordered my Homer (and a Neuralyzer while I was at it :)) ). Does it say anywhere in any of the confirmation emails if you are one of the first 100? Really looking forward to receiving this, my collection seems to be lacking in Connery era props.

Mmmm just a thought, Jeff, and I take your point. Maybe it could be done as a rubber slipover as some the newer Pacmyrs are, it would be more of a fit all then, just thinking outside the box, at the very least I think the new tracking device should come in a SA locking metal case with cut dense foam.

I forgot to mention,in the review, the first 100 come with 2 numbered prints,i am pretty new to you tube videos and still have a lot to learn,so i did my best.
i get fed up with people opening the box up for 5 mins rather than crack on with the item,it has the usual bomb proof packing from Factory 2 outer boxes and an inner one,and well packed inside too

As far as I am aware FE have lost the licence from EON and at present nobody else has it. So don't hold your breath for Bond 24 prop replicas or any other movie for that matter.

Hi, yes, we still have the license. We have never 'lost' this or any license. We may choose not to renew certain licenses at the end of their term, but Bond is not one of those at this time.

As I think we have mentioned before, we don't pick the replicas we make, EON and The Producers have the final say on what gets manufactured. They green-light what we can and cannot make. After a lot of work and pre-production it was decided that the homer from Skyfall was not iconic enough, and/or did not have enough screen time to warrant a replica. So it was not approved to proceed. It's a shame as we thought it was cool, but 'twas not to be...

We are currently waiting to find out if there any other pieces that EON wishes to have replicated and rest assured AJB will be the first place to hear the news... if there is any of course :-)

We don't have any special power or ability and certainly do not have free reign to do whatever we want..(licensing does not work like that) we are just honored that we get to play in the Bond sandbox even a little bit.

    What would everybody like to see? The basic rules are;
    1) Iconic and quintessentially 'Bond'
    2) Relevant
    3) In demand enough to warrant an edition at least 500 pieces
    4) Something that can actually be manufactured to an accurate and satisfying standard in a multi-100 edition

Please remember no real world items , or items that contain any 3rd party brand name or trademark are permitted, and no real world firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed.

Thank you so much to Factory Ent for posing that question to us fans. Just having you a member of forums like this is really appreciated.

With that said, here is my list :)

    1) Oddjob's hat
    2) YOLT safecracker
    3) DAD glass breaking ring
    4) OHMSS wedding ring
    5) MWTGG Solex Agitator

Glad to hear you still have the Bond licence FE! Is there somewhere we could contact EON to try and show them that there is a demand for the Skyfall tracking device? Maybe if they hear it from the fans, it may change their mind?

Other props I'd like to see are:
    Goldeneye Door Decoder
    Goldeneye Piton Gun
    LTK toothpase and cigarette detonator
    Moonraker and YOLT safecrackers

I'd also like to see some smaller, lower priced replicas such as the earpiece from Quantum or the tracking device that M hooks up to the clock in TWINE

In trying to keep within your caveats, I still say that the Briefcase has to be top of the list and also the full set of Rings, available singly and as a LE Set:

    GF AG Ring
    GF Oddjob Ring
    TB SPECTRE Ring
    YOLT/DAF SPECTRE Ring
    OHMSS Wedding Ring
    DAF Q's Slot Machine Ring
    TMWTHGG FS Rings
    AVTAK Camera Ring
    DAD Sonic Ring

A decent looking stuffed white Persian cat that could sit on my, yet to be purchased YOLT GPlan chair ... this would appeal outside of Bond collectors too.

    GF Gold Bar

GF A sliding heel to match the GF Mini Homer

    DAF Brass Urn

    TLD Keyfinder

GE Archangel Mines (Also function as an alarm clock as well as SA Functional display)

    CR Defibrillator with matching AutoJets

    Various IDs and Credit Cards

Full Set of Casino Chips, Plaques & Jetons (DN, TB, OHMSS, DAF, TLD, GE, TND, TWINE, CR, SF etc)

    Scale Models:

    TB Bell/Textron Rocket Pack
    TB JB Aqualung/Propulsion Unit
    TB Bomb Sled
TB Tow Sled (Matching Scale to the above)
TB Disco Volante (Obviously to a smaller scale than the above :) )
    YOLT Little Nellie
    DAF Laser Satellite
    DAF BathoSub

Barry, can you give some idea of what is pending on your list (Approved or not)? At least that would give us some hope ....

Thanks for checking in, FE! Of the things I've seen, Tracy's wedding ring is most compelling. Hopefully SPECTRE has something in the film that fits the bill - be a shame to do nothing from Craig's films!

Well the recent ones are made under licence from Carta Mundi or B&G.

Agreed, but if EON owns the design copyright then they could authorise a run, via FE and manufactured by the companies in question, obviously with a VERY subtle difference in the design to differentiate from the screen used items and not carrying any anti fraud measures. This argument obviously doesn't hold up for the DN, TB, OHMSS, DAF, LTK & GE plaques, none of these used the real thing so there would be no copying of monetary instrument arguments. Thoughts?
