Just a thought during watching TND;

Is it me, or does that statalight in gupta's lab really look like $300m worth to you?

For me, it looks like someone ran out of time, paniced and just decided to spray it all white while rushing it to the stage. Also, wouldnt a statalight be prepared in a clean room, and not in some dingy storeroom in Carver's loft?

I agree. Also, as soon as Gupta says "it is worth $300.000.000" you know it isn't going to last long before it breaks.

I got the impression that was a piece of junk for window dressing in case of official visits. (?)
