Sherlock Bond?

I was watching SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS last night. A thoroughly enjoyable romp albeit bearing about as much resemblance to Conan Doyle as I do to Pierce Brosnan! :D However, I did wonder when (or if?) the time comes to shift gears & present a more flamboyant Moore-like Bond romp whether Guy Ritchie's take on the sleuth detective would be the right role model. Indeed, would Ritchie himself prove to be an appropriate director of 007? I could certainly see a future Bond film following the same route as Holmes stylistically given a SPY WHO LOVED ME-style script, but not with Craig in the lead role.

Another thing, does anyone agree Jude Law might make a good Bond foe? I found him very engaging as Watson. Some, myself included would like to see a top assassin of some kind as Bond's next nemesis. Perhaps Law would fit the bill.

    Funny enough, it actually happened.

Watched Layer cake again last night and think Along with
Guy Ritchie, Matthew Vaughn would do a great Job. The
editing was also great by Jon Harris.
I do feel the Sherlock Holmes Movies have adapted the Old
Bond formula and hence are some of the New Big event
    Movies.

Forgot to give a mention to Jared Harris's Moriarty. Excellent stuff. Another potential Bond foe in waiting?

Ah, SHERLOCK HOLMES IN NEW YORK. I'd forgotten about that. Dear old Roger. He hasn't half made some rubbish in his time. :))
