Oh, and one random bit of trivia - I work in the building that the Shanghai scenes were shot - well at least the shooting of the security guard, DC going up the escalator towards the lifts and I believe part of the fight sequence. Not sure where the actual lifts were filmed but a different building.
Cheers
thats awesome! could you take some pics? would love to see them, and as far as i know the entire fight scene location was filmed on a sound stage.
I must admit I did a bit of a double-take when I saw it the day it opened in the UK
I can certainly get some of the outside, the escalator and the lobby area (dead security guard excluded).
I was out for lunch with one of the chaps here who was in the building the day that DC was filming. He recalled the sequence being filmed sometime in early February (so I presume near the end of production) and some of the filming was done on one of the unoccupied floors. The fight sequence may well have been filmed on a sound stage and the bit filmed on the unoccupied floor ending up on the cutting room floor. I suppose it could have been part of the intro to the sequence that this still was taken from:

My take on Enjoying Death. All items are subs but I was really just trying to get the vibe. If the zara shirt ever pops up I'll certainly try to get one. The shirt I have on is Lucky Brand and I think a better color for me, and I think it gets the spirit of the zara death shirt.
Chinos are jcrew, shoes are Clarks originals desert boots in taupe.
We'll have to use our imagination to picture me walking up the beach to the scorpion bar.

Very nice! I like that shirt better than Daniel Craig's!

The COS stuff is cheap and nasty, the BR coat would have worked better in black; the navy, IMO, works wonderfully welll with jeans but NOT with the formal Acne, though it is a great coat and the Acne's are a nice, complementary fit.

DZ, you do realise most of us have eyes horizontally opposing don't you?
Yet still you go and put pictures up for the vertically opposing eye population, and how many of them are there in the world?!?!?! Space maybe, but not on Earth
Argh...asp, I don't know how that happened....can I blame it on my iPad? Probably not. Jacket is not bespoke and it's a medium...just fits my body type it seems. Thanks for the kudos...I explained to my wife she had to take a picture so I could show my chums...she didn't blink an eye--used to this craziness!

Yah muppet. I'da blamed the wife. Makes one look less like a techno-tool Anyway, it confirmed one thing. I need a medium. And not one that speaks to the dead. Cheers DZ, you may lack the ability to post a right-way-up-photo, but you know how to find a coat that fits.

Hah, I'd forgotten about that. Photography is an important part of my fieldwork, so I had to trade up. The lack of distance with the box brownie and your subject made it less than ideal with venomous snakes....

Is the BR a medium? Have you had it altered at all? It looks truly bespoke.

Very cool to have such a complete outfit! Must feel quite like Bond himself....
I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on the boots, then I will have to track down the pea coat, which is really what brings it all together!
+1 to this. I thought the same thing. Nice job -{
Shame (for all of us ) you're missing the important bit of the costume ..
The Turkish girl...
Good coming from our very own David bailey
What did happen to the box brownie asp? 8-)
