Should Daniel Craig wear a naval uniform in the next film?

It has struck me that in the 3 films DC has starred in, he has not once donned the naval uniform that is befitting of Commander Bond. Do you think that he should ditch the Tom Ford tailoring, and have a scene of him in the uniform? Or would he just look weird? Am I right in think that every Bond has wore the uniform, including Lazenby?

I've read a couple of posts where some
fans seem to think he's now ex-SAS.
Also aren't most Naval Officers over six foot tall.
could be a problem in a line up.
vespa suggested he was an "SAS" type,,
and i think yes,, he should wear the naval uniform,, if the reboot is to be acuarate,, the bond was ex navy,,

According to the SF obituary, he is Commander Bond.
And even if Craig is 5 10(with lifts) Bond can still be 6ft plus, it's not like we see him being measured.
One thing that I noted in SKYFALL is that they referenced Mallory as being a Colonel (Army). Bernard Lee's M was an Admiral (Royal Navy), was he not? ...and I believe his house that Bond visited during OHMSS was referred to as "Quarterdeck."
You are right nither Lazenby or Dalton wore a Naval Uniform, in fact TND was the last time Bond wore his Royal Navy uniform. Also M was an Admiral in the Royal Navy prior to joining MI6 in both Fleming's novels and the original films.
It would be nice to see Bond in his Navy Uniform again, I know I would love to see it.
Brosnan's Bond donned his Navy uniform at sea as well. In each case the uniform was appropriate to the setting within the context of the film. If the story calls for it, fine. If not, why bother?

I thought I was the only person who still used that dossier site. One of my favorites, so still bookmarked.
That's where I first confirmed he was ex-navy.
This is the link I used to use (same info): http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/casinoroyale/site/flash.html
I'd like to see Craig in the navy uniform, but I must admit my choice is based more on aesthetics than anything integral to the series It really is only going to happen if it fits the plot.
hahaha,,
Don't think it would be a good look for him, as a Cap would make him look even shorter.

It was the hair that was wrong with Brozzer (far too long ) otherwise he would have looked fine.
What would be the rationale behind this? It seems like the reverse would be more desirable - lots of low-hanging hatch doorways and bulkheads on Navy ships. When I graduated high school I flirted with the idea of joining the Navy in order to pursue a nuclear engineering program, but at six foot four I would have been too tall to be allowed to serve on a submarine!
all been well over Six Foot. Although the minimun Height allowed
is Only Five feet tall, so Craig should have no Worries. )
M was indeed a Vice Admiral. In You Only Live Twice he wore the naval uniform with the rank badge of a Vice Admiral (if memory serves, Bernard Lee's M also wore the same uniform in The Man With the Golden Gun, and Robert Brown wore it in The Living Daylights. Vice Admiral is a three star rank, so presumably, if they're going to make Mallory the next 'M', he would be promoted to the equivalent three star rank (Lieutenant-General).
