    Could you change the thread title to something more suitable like;

"Die Another Day: Why do I have to start yet another pointless meaningless thread that covers the same old ground like all the other DAD bashing threads?"

Start a thread about an old topic, people complain.

Instead of making a new thread you bump an old thread, and people complain.

my theory, people just like to complain.

Although I'm bored to tears of people re-analysing DAD, thinking they're gonna uncover something new (you won't), I'd much prefer it if people used existing threads instead of start a new one every time.

People complain sure, babies throw rattles.

Members are constantly coming and going and new members are always popping up. Just because the topic has been discussed before doesn't mean its not new to many other people.

If I have a specific comment about a film that I want opinions on and I bump an old 11 page thread, most people aren't going to read through the whole thread and get to my post. However if I make a brand new thread on the subject the chance of getting replies is much greater. Its worth the handful of people complaining IMO.

So what original comment or criticism have you come up with then?

You are right. I feel the same way. I wasn't on this site years ago when a topic may have been discussed and I am not going to spend my time researching history rather than having the discussion (which is the purpose of ajb007). If someone doesn't like a perceived repeated topic, they have the freedom to skip it. No one is forced to read and/or respond.

And people also have a right to respond.

It appears to me that too many new members instantly start a new thread, post in the wrong forum, post copyright images, or spoilers without tags on.

It would be great if these people used a bit of common sense and thought about others instead of adopting the selfish "I'll do what I like and if anyone doesn't like it they can go away" attitude.

As for bashing DAD, it's up to anyone to voice their thoughts. I'm not opposed to people having and voicing opinions, I just think they should think before posting. Is if relevant? Has someone raised this before? Will this seriously piss anyone off?

There's a search function for a reason guys.

I find it quite ironic that I, out of all people have to point the above out to you.

On DAD? None I was just making a point. Just because a thread isn't new to this forum , doesn't mean its not new to the people who read it. The whole point of a forum like this is to have a back and forth conversation with other members, not to read other peoples conversations from a year(s) ago whom most likely don't even post anymore. I can understand using the search feature if you're looking for specific information, but if you want to have a discussion on a subject that hasn't been discussed in awhile, I say make a new thread.

This is such a slow moving forum its not like we have to make room for the flood of new original threads

Let's not turn into grumpy old AJBers over here. :007) It's a bit unwelcoming to complain every time a newish member makes a thread about something that's been discussed before.
It's all right. It's quite all right, really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world.

    1) I am grumpy, and in the noob spirit of things, deal with it. :p

    2) I'm not moaning about every new thread.

    3) If you feel that I'm unwelcoming to new members, see point 1.

    4) I'm not trying to have a go, make any new member run away crying or deter people from voicing opinions, like I've said before, I actively welcome it. Neither am I trying to be authority and act like a mod, that's their role, I'll stick with being a straight talking member. Maybe I'm coming across in the wrong light? I'm not bossing you guys around, just pointing out a few things to help you get on with AJB.
