    Just got mine, the crest looks even better in the flesh, well done JSC. Looking at their web site, the SIS logo items seem to be the most popular in their range at the moment. Maybe I should have charged them for the crest after all ;)
  • ThomoThomo ReadingPosts: 964MI6 Agent
    The crest does look great, I'm awaiting a new one. Sent the old one back as it was in the wrong place - something to do with being first off the production line? Anyway will be sorted they are very helpful there. Thanks again for sorting that out

    Yup, they told me for yours they forgot to move the placement when they resized the logo. Therefore it was too low and off center
  • ThomoThomo ReadingPosts: 964MI6 Agent
    Yep, their customer service was excellent though

    Just got my pt jacket in medium. Seems to run true to size. Had mine embroidered with my old regt badge.... I'll feel a little less self conscious wearing it for PT as I'm still waiting to be recruited by M16! I can see why some find them big. I'm 1.89 95kg with 44 chest and its fits fine as a med is a 44 I thought it might be a bit too tight or short in the body and sleeves. I would agree for most it's probably best to size down.

    Is the arm length really the same for sizes S through L (Armpit to Cuff - 19")? I'm going to buy a small for the chest size but don't want the cuffs at my elbow!

    I have a small - arms are fine on mine, if you want more details email the company they are very helpful and will answer your questions. The quality of the jacket and the embroidery is great

    I think a medium would probably bury you. They are hand made so I wouldn't be surprised if the sleeve length is the same. I think you will be ok with a small

    Thanks guys. I sent an email but I think I'll go ahead and place an order on their site for a size small. I just noticed their Facebook page which also states that they'll be away until the 7th of Jan.

    Just to point it out, the official ordering date for Christmas was the 14th, in order for it to ship in the 18th and be with you for Xmas. This is for UK orders only, international shipping dates differ, full details in the joint services clothing homepage.

    I got in touch on the 9th, I called them about having some extra embroidery done, they said it wouldn't be an issue. I emailed the artwork so they wouldn't have to spend any time drawing it up from a sketch etc. anyway, a few emails back and forth, plus waiting a week for a final quote resulted in me missing the 14th deadline.

    I ordered the bog standard item on the 18th and was surprised to get a confirmation email saying its been shipped. Sadly they haven't said how its being delivered, so I dunno when to expect it.

    I think the service has been ok, but I have to admit it was a bit disappointing to not get any responce for a week, especially as I'd prepared the artwork to save them the hassle. I guess it's a busy time of year though and I should have got in touch with them sooner.

    The feedback on quality so far sounds promising, and I can't wait to receive my item. I think I'll get the extra stuff done locally when I can get round to it.

    Fingers crossed the courier won't knick it :))

    Well about half an hour ago I received my item, a navy coloured fleece with the SIS logo.

    Considering I ordered this on the 18th I'd say Joint Services Clothing have done great getting this to me in such a short time, especially with it being such a busy time of the year.

    Anyways, the fleece is a great quality, nice and thick with a great overall finish to it. I'm about 42" chest, so ordered a small, it fits perfectly. I usually take a medium, so I'd definitely advise anyone to down-size when ordering.

    The embroidery is good, and looks pretty good. The quality isn't pin sharp, but that embroidery for you. It looks just like the pic on JSC's website;

    And here's my fleece;

    I'm pretty impressed with it, the only conundrum now is dare I wear it to work?
