Thanks for the update, very cool to wear around for sure, the shoulder seem lines do not look right, but then DC is wearing a compression top.

Is that the right colour too?

The pic above looks a lot darker than another cleaner pic I have saved. In the clearer pic I have the top is a lot bluer

It does not look like a compression top, it looks more like base layer that has had the logo stitched on.

The one from joint services is just a long sleeved cotton t.

It has diagonal stitching from the collar to under the armpit!

I think this is one area (PTI scene) we skimped on when Meesta has the opportunity to ask the costume department.

DCs top def looks like a skin where he is leaning and it has the signature outside stitching as used by the likes of UA etc

I love the scenes in the gym, loved the top when I watched SF first time.
Love the work you have done on this but I think I will hold out for a better one in blue.

I have watched the movie again on my mates Apple TV & I really don't think it's a compression UA or Nike type shirt. I have loads of these compression tops & it isn't that tight a fit on DC.
It is more like a looser fitting running top I have or base layer.
In the movie i can see there is that white/light external stitching from neck across to shoulder, around the shoulder and upper arm and also down the sleeve.
The grey UA top shown/mentioned previously is not in the movie.

Check The North Face base layers, the stitching on the shoulders would seem to match.

This is the logo I got done, while on holiday on a PTI jacket I bought from Mantis, personally the stitch quality is superior to the one from joint service, and the thread count is much higher.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan

    Wow....far superior...

So is anyone gonna let us all know where the 'superior' stitching was done instead of pissing on JSC's bonfire?

Sri Lanka, Jeff, honest. Going to speak to Julie at JSC and see if they can match the 12000 stitch count, Stefan showed me the the example above last week and I was blown away by it. It is my design again but they are worlds apart.
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
I agree it's a better quality Andy, I just grumble a bit when people use the tactic of saying 'better than..... '.

Sri Lanka is a bit of a journey for me, so I guess I'll stick with what I got :))

I won't be going back to JSC as I need a fleece for work and their fleeces are too nice to get ruined.

Here is an idea. Can someone or I buy the embroidery file from Stefan and we can just get the embroidery done from a local guy? Or you can order the PTI jacket as a blank and embroider it yourself?
  • Gadget MeisterGadget Meister Bicester, OxonPosts: 1,972MI6 Agent
No you you can't because it's not Stefan's to sell. :p
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
I'd rather get the original and best ;)

This was the first time I had seen this stitching...I think its just a matter of JSC refining their technique to the above level.

Wow really impressed with this one

That is correct, I am not trying to sell these, the point of my post was to show people what Andy's art work would look like if done correctly, granted the thread count used was very high, but the results speak for themselves.
