Ah, that's why your knifes bear only one engraving :)) :)) :))

    Actually, it has four. Dimwit.

It's possible the jimping was filed off along with the makers mark. The production team go to seemingly unnecessary lengths to alter items to a massive degree that have no real need to be changed. The Bulldog box is a classic example.

The nail nick does seem to sit higher on the screencap suggesting some material removal on the spine....

The Boker Plus was a sprint run slip joint model that came out after the success of the UKPK back in 2009. It never made it to mass production due to the high price tag and not being a one handed opener. I've been looking everywhere since 2013 for a good example. They were hard to get in 2009.

Really need some clearer hi def screencaps.
what changes did they make to the bulldog box?

what changes did they make to the bulldog box?

They took the whole thing apart and used two lids for the base and lid, grinding off the logo on both. They filled the lock hole on the base and changed the hinges, lock and locking plate, and then added an inner lip to the base.

The propmaker was paid to make a custom case for the PPK/S and radio... so he did :))

Well after years (FOUR BLOODY YEARS!!!!!!) of scouring Ebay daily and second hand knife dealers constantly... for the WRONG knife. I can finally confirm that in SKYFALL, Bond does indeed use the Miguel Nieto Junior penknife, in the largest of the three sizes it came in (ref 0102). And the earlier models did indeed have no jimping on the spine, and that's the one you need to get. Which matches up exactly. I did at first think it was wrong as it should have the nail nick on the other side, but then I realised Bond holds the knife in his left and opens it with his right, and we see the mirror image, so the knife spec is correct. Production just removed the makers mark, which is just printed on, so an easy fix.

I also ruled out this knife as they are cheap mass produced Spanish knives. But in the context of the story, it makes perfect sense for Bond to kit himself out with a cheap but serviceable local blade. Pretty much like choosing an Opinel if he was in France.

No, not at all. They are easy to get as they were produced in such large numbers.

Concur, mine arrived to other day, luckily with no jimping, in fact identical to yours. Very pleased and now have both the Skyfall knives. {[]

Chriscoop, your link is to the 0104 which is the wrong model, you need the 0102 (7cm blade) :#

For those that have this knife, could I asked where you purchased from? I found the knife on the website below for €12 which is a great price but when you include shipping the price goes to well over €40. This is still a pretty good price but was also wandering if any UK sellers stock it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I actually got mine, aceros de Hispania near zaragoza while visiting the area from salou, it does however have a website and does ship to the UK and also does have the 0102 in stock, only problem is their website shows the knife with the jumping.
If that's ok then try this

I've placed an order for the 0102. I did ask in the comments to have them ship me an older version without the jimping as that was for sale in their retail shop. Will see how that goes.

With shipping it came to just under US$30.

Just a quick thought, has anyone thought of going direct to the manufacturer?
    http://mnieto.loading.net/en/buscar?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=0102&submit_search=
As they profess to make handcrafted knives, surely it wouldn't be so hard to get a 0102 without the jimping? It looks like the blade pattern is used on other of their knives without the jimping. Just an idea.
