Is it possible Craig could have an "OTT, overblown" film in future?

I was just thinking through the Bond canon, and it occurred to me that the Bond actors who made three films or more have eventually been involved in an OTT film which would boggle Ian Fleming's mind.

Connery had YOLT, Moore MR and Brosnan DAD, so I'm wondering, could this possibly happen to Craig?

Could the Broccolis (for one reason or other) give him a bubble-gum adventure, and have the masses complaining no end about the resulting film?
"Well, he certainly left with his tails between his legs."

I reckon if they did have a OTT Bond it would be 'DKR' clone with London undeerthreat, Bond looks like he's gonna die, epic ending....

Nah i doubt it. Craig seems like a smart guy and he's given the Bond character layers its never been given. Doubt he ruin it by doing a overblown Bond film.

Anything is always possible with the Bond series. :))
Craig might yet end up with "His" YOLT or DAD. :D

The thing I like about DC's Bond is that he is ageing. A little like Bale's Bruce Wayne, you can see in Skyfall that Bond is becoming more cold, distant. CR, QoS & SF take place in a different time to the other Bond films and so the writers can do things with DC's character that they couldn't with Brosnan's. If they are making back-to-back Bond films for the next two then there is every chance it will be a BIG Bond adventure. But that's fine as DC can carry this Bond all the way. :007)

    I'm not sure any of Craigs major plot lines are going to be massively out there or over the top, but It would be nice see him an action sequence of the sort, something on the same level as the volcano sequence in YOLT, the Cable Car fight in MR, clinging onto the back of a plane in OP, Cello Case Chase in TLD or the action packed Ski Chase in TWINE. I would personally love a Craig Ski Sequence. -{

He's not that kind of Bond. It just doesn't sound quite right with Craig. I think his action sequences have been some of the best in the Bond canon.

Oh I agree with you for the most part - The intro to casino royale, the chase to stop the terrorist blowing up the jet, the finale of QoS, the underground scenes and finale of Skyfall - all amazing action sequences! But a little novelty chase would be amazing!

SF's plot wasn't realistic at all. It was just produced in a "realist" style. If you dissect the plot it is actually pretty ridiculous.

I don't think we will see Craig's Bond get as sill as YOLT, MR, or DAD, but I think he has already gone "over the top".
It's all right. It's quite all right, really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world.

I'm in the minority, but I think Skyfall was way too over the top for my tastes. I mean they freaking blew up MI6, had a several person gun fight in a Parliamentary committee meeting in the heart of London, and an estate in Scotland was invaded by a small army.

That's the first time I've heard that said about QoS. Most people complain that the villians weren't grandiose enough, the water scheme was too ordinary, etc.

I wouldn't want an Over the Top adventure But ..........................

We've Had so much death of People Bond has cared about lately. I'd
love to see a Movie were Bond is sent on a mission meets a few Babes
he can have a little fun with then Move on. Crack a few One Liners
Do some great stunts and look like he's having a little FUN at times.
Would be a bit of relief after the last few outings. :))

I was hoping that was what we were going to get with Skyfall in the early days of production. Looks like we will have to wait...

Coincidentally, Bond history shows us that an actor's 4th film was his most financially successful entry into the franchise: Thunderball, Moonraker, and Die Another Day.

Unfortunately, in the cases of Moore and Brosnan, it was also their most ridiculous film

I pray the latter part doesn't help to Craig.
