TLD, QoS (despite the fact I really dislike the rest of the film, I loved the PTS), TSWLM, CR, and GF are the top five in no particular order. GE and OHMSS were both going terrifically until the freefall to the airplane and the line about "the other fellow", respectively. TWINE also comes very close to making the list, but just misses it due to length/not really feeling like a PTS.
I really liked that line 'the other fellow' I always like inside jokes!
The pre-title sequence in GOLDFINGER is my favorite, a quintessential Bond mini-movie. What follows is a pedantic and ponderous movie in which nothing is half as good. What a pity it wasn't directed by Terence Young. It would be a faster darker edgier film.
The pre-title sequence in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is quite thrilling and a wonderful intro to Timothy Dalton doing his own action scenes.

The top 7 Bond films: 1) Dr No. 2) From Russia With Love. 3) Thunderball. 4) On Her Majesty's Secret Service. 5) For Your Eyes Only. 6) The Living Daylights. 7) Licence to Kill.
I don't see why people don't think Skyfall's one should be number 1 or 2
Skyfall's PTS is actually made worse by the rest of the film because it exposes so many plot holes, bizarre character logic, and unexplained events in the PTS.
A. How did Bond survive being shot twice and falling off a bridge?
B. Why didn't Moneypenny shoot again? Did she only have 1 bullet?
C. People tend to forget that Bond got shot twice, which makes for a confusing ballistics section.
D. Bond almost died trying to get this guy and the film drops this plotline halfway thru the film ?!?
My current 10 favorite:
1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK
FYEO is a weird one that I can embrace in itself, but just does not fit with the film.
One could say the same thing of OP, but that doesn't/shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying it.
Couldn't agree more. Just because the PTS doesn't fit with the rest of the movie doesn't make it bad. GF, TB, and many other films have very little to do with the main plot of the film. It was just surprising to see a less serious intro followed by the most serious of the Moore films.
I might be biased because this was one of the first Bond movies I ever saw as a young boy and it really was the dog's for a boy my age. MOONRAKER! Fantastic! A space shuttle being stolen of a 747, a freefall without a parachute, a 7 feet tall guy with metal teeth. Remember, I had no idea who James Bond was.

My favorite as well.
#1.TLD/LTK 2.TND 3.GF 4.GE 5.DN 6.FYEO 7.FRWL 8.TMWTGG 9.TWINE 10.YOLT/QOS
FRWL is a tough one to leave off for me too. Great setup to the start of the film.
DAF is probably the weakest for me, but I still enjoy it. FYEO is a weird one that I can embrace in itself, but just does not fit with the film.
I almost completely agree with this, except my favorite Brosnan PTS is TND or DAD.
And my favorite Connery PTS by far is Goldfinger.
OP, TSWLM and AVTAK rule!
1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

I'm glad you like my choices, Gassy. Perhaps you noticed that even I managed to spread the love among four different Bonds!
