Any support out there for possible CGI-animated Bond movies?

I'd probably really enjoy that so long as it wasn't seen as a 'children's' movie because of the animation.

It be either Connery or Craig seen as they are the two most popular Bond's. (I do love Daton but lets be honest he's not the first name that comes up when discussing Bond)

If its like Tintin (which starred Craig) then yes and also that its not a kid film.

If its like Tintin (which starred Craig) then yes and also that its not a kid film.

Tintin came to my mind too! If it was a Classic Bond style adventure with Tintin style animation then I'd be very happy!

I think an animated series of the original Novels
would be cool, To see the villains as Fleming described them. -{

I like the idea, but probably prefer a more traditional animated approach a bit like the Batman TV series, as I could see this working on television without the need for a huge budget. Proper in period pieces would be good. Craig's voice to be used if possible (he has the best speaking voice, tone and diction of all of the Bonds)
Can't see EON going for it though.

Honestly my immediate thought was "hell no!". But on second thought, maybe if it was heavily stylized in some sort of unique, 50s/60s retro way it might work. In other words if it just looked like a normal Saturday morning cartoon, I would be against it. And I'd be VERY against it if it was that creepy CG rendered animation (Final Fantasy, Beowulf, Polar Express)

Yes but if these animated movies were going to do the Fleming novels properly and not be associated with the live action films, then they shouldn't get any of the live action Bonds to do the voice. It should be someone new.

Dalton is 'my Bond' so I don't say this lightly, but occasionally his very slight northern accent jarred and seemed wrong for Bond. otherwise I'd agree with you.

No.

Why? Because Cubby's modus operandi was that if it could be done for real, it should be done for real.

Over the years, as technology in film making has evolved and progressed, many franchises have become to rely on CGI to 'fill the gaps' as it were.

I'm not totally against the use if CGI, but I think it should only be used when absolutely necessary. It seems to me it's over used these days as a kind of 'easy way out'. In my mind, nothing can replace the skill and talent of making things for real, by hand. Ok, so the DB5 was made using RP technology and SF featured a fair amount of CGI, but as long as its used for a good enough reason. Hi tech toys should be seen as another tool in the box, not a replacement.

Therefore, a total CGI bond film? Shove it up your USB socket!

Dalton has the best speaking voice of the Bonds IMO. Connery is the most dischtinctive, but when he speaks I only think Sean Connery.
