The Quantum Storyline.

Do you think that any of Daniel Craig's future Bond films may touch on the Quantum organization. I felt like they left a huge loose end at the end of Quantum of Solace along with Mr White and everything. I've heard that Craig's 2 future Bond films will touch on plots entirely different from the first two films like Skyfall did. Maybe it will be touched upon later on after another actor has taken on the role of Bond. But I feel like they need to wrap that up with Craig since he was the one introduced to it all. I mean i'm just confused as to why they wouldn't want to finish that storyline?

MGW has said that Quantum might return in the future.

Other than that, speculate all you like but it's way too early to be thinking about what bond 24 has in store.

Haha, yes, that's what I've decided to assume as well.
It's all right. It's quite all right, really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world.

I wanna see a film like TLD or a decent thriller with Mendes directing again...

They have to bring back Quantum. You can't just leave it out there unresolved. They finished off SPECTRE albeit it a right balled up manner in DAF so they have to do the same for Quantum. Besides the Quantum organisation is not the problem, it was the the script in QOS that was the problem. Quantum is a perfect organisation for the 21 st century - big business men and currupt persons of influence working in the shadows rather than super villians building hollowed out volcano's and giant tankers.

Quantum has great potential if used properly. Besides Mr. White is a great villian and has to get his comeuppence.

The script had some great ideas and lines, some of the action scenes were pretty good, but the way it was executed and blended together didn't go so well.

Yeah, despite QoS's issues I found the Quantum syndicate (represented by White, Greene, and their politcal puppet, Medrano) seemed more plausible and original than the concept of Silva and his comparatively petty grudge from Skyfall (a toned down Ledger Joker with better funding and dress sense, with Javier Bardem's performance really making it work).

I concur that Quantum and Mr. White getting dropped is throwing out the baby with the bath water.

Popped QoS in the dvd player last night - still a good movie to me. It's pretty straightforward action, but done properly.
Only downside is the editing during action sequences - it's too snappy and you lose oversight.

Like said above, Quantum is still out there along with Mr. White. It's a usable storyline, but perhaps the fairly negative reception of QoS makes the producers stay away from Quantum in the future.

Although deemed a comparative dud critically in relation to the other two Craig movies QoS (compounded by unrealistically high expectations and behind the scenes creative problems) still generated 586, 090, 727 billion dollars at the box office.

If we get Quantum in future Bond movies I wouldn't mind them having a proper secret lair that took years to build and staffed by hundreds of henchmen, though I wouldn't want an update of Blofeld's volcano base but instead an update of Blofeld's more plausible Piz Gloria (with the fight scenes with the enemy guards similar to the mountain battle from Inception, if the Bond producers want to further emulate Nolan films).
