It's very close....splitting the scarf is always a good idea...Simon and I did that with mine since a similar technique was used...

I'm in TF store in London next week. Anybody up for a share of a shawl/scarf if they're still available?

Unfortunately TF don't have sales. Looks too needy!

Are you 100% sure about that?

The the grey scarf was from Liberty, it's either Ralph Lauren, Johnstons or Libertys own make, albeit I believe that one to be Johnstons Cashmere Scarf as I have managed to get one of each as I had a number of conversations with the Buyers from Liberty and they were the only plain grey scarf they had at the time.

Out of curiosity: for those that have trimmed the Lodge scarf down to be more screen accurate what are the final dimensions of the adjusted scarf?

That's still some money actually, I must honestly admit that I haven't heard about Johnstons before (except Johnstons Baby, lol). Is it a well known brand in the UK?
  • jared_nomakjared_nomak Posts: 1,944MI6 Agent
Yes it think it's pretty well known, they do a lot of cashmere and wool stuff for men and women

I popped in Liberties today and couldn't find the Scarf and the assistance wasn't overly helpful. Also probably didn't help looking like a scruff. :)) :(

    EDIT: Is this it? http://www.johnstonscashmere.com/retail/accessories/scarves-stoles/plain-cashmere-scarf.html

EDIT: I've also found it on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F8EEMTS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which I've now ordered. As it looks like the Mid Grey is selectable on the Johnsons website. :D

I have the Johnsons grey scarf. My only concern about it being SA is that I find it a bit too short (unless im tying it wrong lol)

Welshboy I have a Johnstons scarf as well and I think it is too short. I bought an alternative from dents and it is 4" longer than the Johnstons (not including the frills), just allowing me to tuck it into the middle button of my coat.

I bought the lambs wool version, but there is a cashmere available if you can spare the money.

Links to both scarves below from house of Fraser

Our friends at TieDeals, who came through on a few TF ties from "QoS" have finally delivered on "Skyfall." I picked up this beauty the other week -

They still have the same scarf in Navy available, which makes a nice authentic variation to the brown.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Looks like the grey scarf is now confirmed as the Johnstones scarf

    image.jpg

Look at the small white labels on the bottom corner, 2 of them joust like the one Craig is being handed

    Not so sure.

Craig doesn't wear a scarf in the scene being filmed. What therefore is the GUARANTEE that the scarf he's being handed for additional warmth is actually a costume item from elsewhere in in the film?

Not, surely, just because he's also wearing the Markos??

    Thats a good point David.

Though personally I think its a pretty good coincidence and prob 90% likely the same scarf but cannot be confirmed.
