Would Daniel Craig make a good Red Grant in a remake of FRWL?

I think he would. He has the look of Grant and the same single-minded ruthlessness that Grant had. He could also play the dining car and train cabin scenes well.

What differences would Craig have to convey Red Grant being different than Craig's Bond? Or is this an alternate universe where Craig was never Bond?

Yes, I was thinking along this line. Had he not been chosen for Bond, I think he would have made a good Grant.

Would also have made a good 006 (Trevelyan ) in another Bondiverse. In fact Daniel could have been perfect as a 'not quite Bond' character
