Skyfall still as rating high after going back to other films??

Now that the insanity has dissipated somewhat, does Skyfall still rate as high as it did initially?

I've seen it three times now, and it gets better everytime in my opinion, but it doesn't rate quite as high after going back and seeing other films, TLD for example. how about a top 5 to see if Skyfall is up there with the best?

FRWL
Octopussy
License to Kill/TLD (tie)
Dr No
Thunderball

hmm...

I'll have to think about the top 5 thing, but if it is in there, it is probably number 4 or 5 at the highest. Certainly a positive entry for the series, but I don't know how many of the previous entries it stands tall over.

While I do rate Skyfall highly, I never once thought it was the 'best ever'. That title is still firmly in the grasp of From Russia With Love.

I'm having troubles deciding which of Casino Royale or Skyfall was the better film. At the moment, in my rankings they rank 8th and 9th respectively, although the order could easily switch around. It's been a long time since I watched Casino Royale, but I've seen Skyfall twice recently.

Skyfall is easily as good as Casino Royale. I don't think either of them were the 'best' per se but they're both still very, very good entries in the series.

I'm also struggling to decide between CR, GF and SF. I haven't gone back and rewatched any of the other films since watching Skyfall though, but I'm confident that it will remain in my top 4.

Overall, a very worthy and enjoyable entry into the series, but not in my top five. Of Daniel Craig's films, it is without doubt a considerable improvement on Quantum of Solace, but not yet certain if I rate it as highly as Casino Royale. It will probably take a few viewings on the DVD.

In my view it's a good solid Bond film. Wouldn't be in my top Five.
as far as Craig's Bonds I'd list them as.

    1. Casino Royale
    2. Skyfall
    3. Quantum of Solace.

Although as with all Lists on Bond this could change, as I keep finding little touches
in Skyfall that I like. :))

I am not sure it is even a Bond movie to be honest, sorry, just my opinion.

It doesn't disappoint after 4 visits, certainly not. In time, I might even feel it's Craig's best Bond so far.
