Acne trousers- easy to tailor?

For those of you who have the Acne trousers, are they easy to tailor? I am a 38 waist (US) on my way to 36 with a final destination of 34 I hope. I found a pair of 36 available at a good price. If I get them, any hope that they can be tailored down to a 34?

You may not even have to. Although I'm a 30, the 32s with the side tabs buttoned gave a better fit.

Yes I would say so without any problem, when I ordered mine I got a 50 and a 48 with a plan to go down a size again, but the 48 were so tight in the leg for me I decided to keep the 50s with a view to getting them tailored if required and the way they are made would not be an issue to reduce them in size

It might not be the waist which will be the problem, its very slim on the legs

I just tried these on at the Acne shop on Dover Street in London. I normally wear a 34 so tried the 52. Fail! OK on waist and thigh (just), but too tight on the calf. So much so they would ride up and not fall again like normal trousers.

I asked them to order in a 54 for me to try on with a view that it is possible to take in the waist with a tailor but not possible to get the legs let-out.

I know there are other alternate brand trousers that look similar for cheaper, but I haven't been able to find any with the side tabs so you don't need a belt.
