The President/Moderator etc of the Literary James Bond on AJB Forums?

Should there be a special moderator/president/secretary for the AJB forums to kick some life into it. I know collectoing and the films are bigger here, but I'd love the lit Bond section to get a bit of a spruce up. I would be happy top fulfil such a post. I'm keen to donate a lit Bond article for my tenth anniversary on here on 14th January 2013, if any of the mods are interested.

Yes, I'm being pro-active, but I want to serve the best Bond site on the web in the best way that I can.

Thanks for reading,

SILHOUETTE MAN.

    Are we talking about a budget for an office with a salary, benefits, a secretary and "other expenses"? :))

    I would love to see more activity in the James Bond Literature forum. I think the best way to bring the section to life would be to post some interesting topics for discussion. I am not a very prolific poster, so I probably wont be much help there. :# However, I do check into the site most days and would most likely enjoy reading an article on the literary Bond. So if you do write an article I would encourage you to post it as a topic in the Lit Forum.

    I'd be most happy indeed to supply said article to mark 60 years of the literary James Bond.

    I also put myself forward as a lit Bond moderator to bring this section in line with the rest of AJB - to make it grow, so to speak.

    No he hasn't....but I did speak with him a few months ago....no idea when, or if he will return....

    If people want a more active literary forum, then they need to post more...I've contacted IFP and they will keep AJB updated with news when they have something to announce....until then its down to you guys...

    How about instead of promoting someone, there should be a president of a particular section. I would really like this, Silouette Man still an MI6 agent will look after this area, I personally want to head the Trivia section, organizing Elimination games etc. , Sir Miles what do you think. Post if you want to be a head of a section.

    Sorry to be a killjoy but this isn't going to happen in the way you want it to...although I'm more than happy for people to use their expertise to 'push' a particular forum...but that can be very difficult at the start...I'm open to suggestions and would be happy for people to PM me with them -{

    How about if we moved the literary Bond forum to the top of the list of forums on the homepage? :)

    In fact, I think we should make James Bond Literature as an entire category rather than grouping it as "Specialist James Bond discussion". What makes this a "specialist" area? We could have sub-forums for Fleming novels, non-Fleming novels and fan fiction.

    This will never happen as the literary forum isn't what people come to AJB for....

    We have discussed this - many years ago - and decided against making sub-forums. We felt (and have since been proved right) that many sub-forums would get very little traffic, if any at all - and even more so in the literary forum...and unless anything changes, that is how it will stay...and all this from a person whose username on a Bond forum is from Star Trek :s :))

    When I signed up, I figured that "Commander Bond" or its variations would've been already taken! I never actually bothered to check if it was available.

    Incidentally, on a Star Trek forum, my username is "Commander Bond" :))

    Well, it's what I come to AJB for! :)

    I would like to be the President of the AJB Literary Bond Forums...though I doubt it will ever happen.

    Perhaps we could have a poll to elect heads of the forum departments...after all we elect police commissioners now!

    The best you can do is to try and create a 'buzz' about the literary forums...as some did over on the collecting forums -{

    Yeah, in order to get somewhere on AJB you have to put more in than a simple 'I wanna be a mod' request.

    Try what I did, interact constantly with people, get well known, donate stuff for competitions, etc etc.

    Worked wonders for me..... Luckily no one has ever taken my jokes of becoming a mod seriously and you couldn't drag me kicking and screaming to become one.

    Being made a Quartermaster though would make my balls tingle.
