Lighten up, bro, I feel that if that annoys you, anything will. SF is one short of brilliant, if your expectations were of Shakespeare cross Tolkien mixed with the budget of Titanic you're be disappointed. To me, the film is great so stop nitpicking.

    James, your deluded
it is very far from brilliant. It is a good film sure and a great Bond, it has some brilliant moments perhaps...but that close to brilliance as a whole is lost in many shortcomings, this is just one of the biggest. As DC is awful with the ladies and never convincing enough, that scene was brilliant (i am using your term) it had all the elements of classic Bond, of who he is and was as a character, for the first time since DC started, you believed in the charm, charisma and overall strength of character that is Bond. There is no explanation why she is taken prisoner, actually regarding the plot let's not start but suffice to say I think everyone watched it and cried bllshit when she died. As for the rest, it is a great movie in parts and I loved it. Sorry Bud I have read shakespeare, but not a hobbit, titanic fan like yourself, but will promise to watch them at some point in order to make comparisons with Bond. :p

Everyone's entitled to their own feelings, when discussion digresses to the point of "shut up," discussion is over.

    Ok chromejob,
I respect your opinion, alpha agent, i've only seen the film twice, perhaps more viewings needed after the hype is down, it was my first in the cinema so bias there for me.

Probably because Bond wasn't expecting Silva to kill Severine.

That's certainly the impression I got when I saw that scene.
Probably because Bond wasn't expecting Silva to kill Severine.
