my honest answer would be "to heat my house and feed my family."

financial matters aside, I'd go for the bottom pic, its SA.

at the end of it though, its your watch and you'll be wearing it so i think you should decide for yourself.

I have the black one, though not the 50th anniversary edition.

I find the black one more elegant than the blue one. The blue is more sporty to me and matches less clothing. But I would not choose the black edition with "007" all over the place, but that's just my personal humble opinion... :)

Good luck with your new watch - either way I'm convinced you'll love it!

I wouldnt go for the 50th Anniversary - looks tacky

I would go for the Casino Royale Seamaster any time of the week over it.

For the price of the 50th model cant you get the new 42mm Skyfall PO or Aqua Terra???

I vote of the second, I got into watches because of Bond, and I have a few. I have never been attempted to buy any special edition as most of them are way too tacky, the nicest of the bad lot in my opinion was the limited edition PO from CR.

The second omega is was a bond watch, worn in CR, while the latter is not.

    Kind regards,
    Stefan.

I vote for whichever one looks more like something bond would wear, and bond would not wear one that his 'logo" plastered all over it, haha.

    go for the blue

If you want to look like Bond, the blue.

If you want to have some Bond limited edition memorabilia, the first.

The 2220.80, I don't really 'get' the 'limited' ones. Go for Blue that DC wore in CR.

I would go for the Blue, the specials are over the top, lose their collectability and are not elegant. I recently bought the PO and I have to say it is amazing, comfortable, elegant (not quite as much as the Aqua, I tried that on) but very stylish and practical. Go for the blue, it is a great watch and was my first choice before the PO, but price in the end ruled over.

Go for the second. A great daily wear watch. I have the older model and can't keep it off my wrist!

I have both a standard black and blue version of the second watch. I'd say get the standard black version, not the 007 version. In my opinion it's one of the best looking watches ever made. These are really GREAT watches by the way!! You'll be very happy with your choice!!

I've worn the blue for many years and am now considering a PO. I would never wear a watch with 007 all over it, it's tacky and 'cheap' .... Go for the SA class.

    Have to agree.
And it's been a Bond watch since '95 when PB wore it in Goldeneye...

I would go for the Blue one or like Uncle27 said the standard version in black. I don't like the 007 models, they are too much 'in your face'

Anything besides the 007 editions. The logos are unappealing branding, in my opinion.

Actually what I would really like ( listen up Omega ) is a plain PO but in either the Skyfall or 50th box and packaging, then I could have a SA watch with a real Bond connection. I reckon there's mileage in that idea. {[]

Of the two posted, I would say the blue one. However, to me, the most coveted Craig era watch to get is the Casino Royale Seamaster "big" Planet Ocean with the rubber strap. Craig burst on the screen and re-defined the character for yet another generation with it. Moreover, Craig's Bond should have kept that watch through all of his Bond films to date. What is being played out in the films is pure branding. Although the Bond character (literary origins) wanted to die with nothing left in the bank. I don't see the charachter buying a new watch for every mission. For instnce, he kept his 4.5 liter Bentley blower until it was destroyed by heavy rolls of newsprint at the hands of Hugo Drax in Moonraker. He only replaced the Bentley with another Bentley when the blower Bentley got destroyed.

Think you're making the right choice roi007 if I do say so myself. You already have a (beautiful!) Planet Ocean watch, so a Seamaster seems like a natural choice. I bought mine several months ago, after longing after a Bond watch for several years! It was a lot of money, but haven't regretted it. As other people have said, I find the anniversary editions a bit in your face with the 007 markings. I'd rather have something SA or something that is Bond, without drawing attention to the fact it is Bond.

I started thinking about Aqua Terra ...
    It's addictive ...

My heart bleeds. You wanna take the adversely grotesque boasting to a new level and post a picture of your mansion with the Ferrari parked out front, or did you wanna just do the sensible thing and buy the seamaster? :v *

You've got a PO, the special edition isn't that special and the aqua terra is grossly over priced for what it is and it's functions.

    Buy the seamaster.

    * I'm not jealous, I'm in a bad mood. Bah humbug.
