Does anyone else want a series, based in the 50s on the Fleming novels.

Never forget - there's always Toby Stephens and hisa radio Bonds DN, GF and FRWL. All set as period pieces. MR is crying out to be done now Bob Holness has passed. -{

my thoughts exactly
I agree. A faithful Adaptation of Moonraker would be good, no Space or daft Laser Fights in Space. Just a Missile aimed at London.
Yes, still quite a frightening idea today in 2013, never mind in 1955, I'm sure you'll agree. But of course, Broccoli referred to the "little piddling rocket aimed at London" in 1979 amid the Star Wars and sci-fi craze. This would not do. Still a frightening prospect and I don't even live in London!
Had there been something like a 9/11 then, I'm certain he would have thought differently.
A nuclear strike on London from a rocket (perhaps disguised by Drax as a satellite launch to
benefit England) would have been some film. Drax would be considered a more cunning and
malevolent version of a Timothy McVeigh today.
