the Hammer film versions where Frankenstein's Monster had bolts in his neck
You're thinking about the Universal versions there, SM- Hammer couldn't use the bolts-in-the-neck Monster for copyright reasons (initially, anyway- they did come to a deal with Universal later).
Sorry, not a big horror fan/expert, but you get the drift of my sentiment, I'm sure. The original novel was more complicated than the film versions give it credit for, I think.
I also remember your saying that you are a Hammer/Universal expert in a collecting thread.
I do indeed stand corrected.
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
I asked this in a name etymology forum before coming here... I ended with 301 possibilities (I will show them in a quote box, in a proper list, for sake of clarity, so no one thinks I am a spambot as it seems happened last time), the 301 possibilities are different Japanese spellings of 38 Japanese names, the 38 Japanese names are names that could be changed in English to the nickname "Kissy", pretty much like "Robert" becomes "Bob" or "Carlos" becomes "Chuck" in English...
If you have seen the Japanese edition of "You only live twice" you may know which of these 301 spellings is closest to the one employed in the book... Or if you have non-canon but author-approved sources as for what is the source of Kissy Suzuki's name... Here I will give the 301 options, some of them I will provide a translation to English, the ones I got to translate, which isn't easy since I do not speak Japanese...
Just a point of order on this - Bondtoys - this is where the spam idea came from - note from me but from the thread author himself. Be sure to get your facts right before accusing others. Thank you. 8-)

Billy Connolly comes on stage in one of his televised gigs and says, "I came here tonight on a Yamaha 1 4 2... which surprises the hell out of me, because it's a piano."

Yes, indeed. It's been one of the more interesting threads here on AJB in a long while! )
