    Maybe he means the Danbury Mint? - or Polo Mint (Lifesavers in the US) :))

    Ah, right, it looks exactly like the Universal Hobbies version if you ask me. It's ok, but not perfect. I'd recommend the Minichamps version if you want better accuracy.

    To help other people, here's what the OP is referring to;

    Looks like a real cheapie to me, rear-view mirrors on the fenders omitted for one thing (so it's not trying to be the Bond DB5).
    I reckon its manufacturer is Hongwell (Cararama), the plinth and packaging look like one of their styles.

    Thanks for the info i had a Del Prado model turn up today,but it's not the same but very close.I have just brought both new Minichamps versions,yes you are right thay are so much better than the Corgi versions.I do collect James Bond diecasts but just love the DB5 so collecting all 1/43 scale versions i can find.The next one to get is the Vitesse version,i know it's not a Bond version,but it comes with a figure dressed in a black tux!

    Just to add, although FACT has identified the car correctly as the Hongwell/Cararama version (in addition to "Cararama" it can also be found in "Oliex" branded packaging). The Cararama model is supposed to be James Bond's DB5 - it has the BMT 216A numberplates. I can't say for sure for the "American Mint" version, as I've never seen this before but my guess is that the car is excactly the same as before.

    RW, thanks for pointing out that bit about the licence plate, I should have known that as I actually got out the Cararama model (I have one) to compare to the one in MG's link before posting ... but mine is still in its cardboard window box and I didn't take it out to check the front or rear :#

    I should have also added that another pointer to it being the Cararama version is the moulded-in door handles - most other models have them as separate chromed items.

    Simon, the advice to go for the Minichamps versions was from MG but I fully agree with him, those would be the best in this scale. I can just add, if you're going after all 1/43 models, that the Atlas Editions version was made by Norev so those would be basically identical.
