Well I didn't wanna say anything out of fear for being labelled the resident trouble maker (HB would have a field day), but I did raise an eyebrow at the suggestion of jag running gear in an Aston....
Perhaps what our new friend is trying to convey is that his suggested parts list are parts or likely donors to be used in the construction of a replica Aston Martin, and not that they'd be used in a real one?
This is probably the model the printed version would be like.

If I remember rightly, much like the DBS in CR, the db5 in GF wasn't actually what it was supposed to be.
The DBS in CR was actually a DBS prototype body built on a DB9 frame, and the DB5 in GF was actually a similar thing, a DB5 prototype on a DB4GT chassis.....
So top mark for being authentic, just need to take the filler to that front end )
The parts i listed where possible parts to be used on a replica and even the replica in Cornwall uses a MG rear glass and it even states it in the artical
Probably worth mentioning? but this image is of the DB5 007 Special created by AML for Prince Andrew & replicated for the Shah of Iran...loadsamoney! Additionally the profile of the Rover bumpers and the over riders themselves are completely different!
Yea i realize the overriders have a slight change of profile but if you need a budget build which uses very close part the overiders are good resort ive noticed the bumpers are wrong completley

The Rover P5 (not P5b) has similar over riders on the bumper. The profile of the bumpers is different and so they are not able to be swapped onto Aston or vice versa without a lot of work.
Probably one hand on the wheel and the other on the phone on FB
Telling her friends she was driving in a circulation.
) . And the car was scrapped ? I'll take it .... For free.
Aaaanyway, getting things slightly back on topic, after trawling through goooooogle images, there's a few stunning looking fan designed concepts out there. One of my personal favourites is this little number, a retro twist on the db5;
Problem is, I can't find it anymore. I've no idea who designed it or what website it was posted on. Does anyone have any other pictures or views of it?

That is a beautiful but it needs wire wheels and a black interior
This is an awesome thread, congrats to those who are already embarking on their own replica project!
Because vintage Aston Martins are so expensive, I know my first car has to be an early 80s Lotus Turbo Esprit, with the black louvers on the back, paint it white with red stripes at the bottom, in the style of the Lotus in For Your Eyes Only!
It's time I start looking into making my own replica in the future!! I look forward to upcoming posts on various kits!

A retro twist on the DB5?
That thing is clearly based on the Volvo P1800.
And the first Google result for "retro P1800" was:
http://iliketowastemytime.com/2012/05/12/volvo-p1800-concept-car
A Volvo?!
God I feel all dirty I'd seen it listed as a retro db5.
Gonna go have a bath now n scrub myself with brillo pads n domestos.
