How many 2012 movies did you see in either the cinema or on DVD?

I saw The Hunger Games, The Amazing Spider-Man, Hit and Run, The Dark Knight Rises, Argo, Skyfall and Django Unchained.

If I were to actually rank these films, my top five 2012 movies would be...

1. Argo

2. Django Unchained

3. Skyfall

4. The Amazing Spider-Man

5. The Hunger Games

And my bottom two movies would (obviously) be...

1. The Dark Knight Rises

2. Hit and Run

...For the most disappointing films I had ever seen all year.

(Keep in mind, I haven't seen the other films of 2012, but if I ever do see those films then my top five rankings might change into either a top ten, a top fifteen, a top twenty or a top twenty-five or into a top thirty.)

Now, let's see your film rankings for the year of 2012, if you'd be so kind to indulge me. -{

The Dark Knight Rises was very disappointing to me, as well.
So much CGI coloring and sky effects, no attempt to conceal Manhattan, wild secret ninja society plot, comic book superhuman villain, unrealistic nuclear hostage city story, every cop ever alive gets trapped in one place, hover batmobile, ancient exotic prison with philosophic rehab story.

After a brilliant, realism inspired, crime film that is The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises was so comic book it burned.

I saw the following in theatres:

    Les Miserables,
    The Hobbit,
    SkyFall,
    Prometheus,
    The Bourne Legacy,
    American Reunion,
    Moonrise Kingdom,
    Safety Not Guaranteed,
    Looper

and I'm sure some others that I am forgetting.

    I enjoyed most of them.

    Completely agree about DKR.
Everyone praises it but it is so full of plot holes.
On YouTube listen to Kevin Smiths 2 hour analysis of DKR.
    It's brilliant!!!!

    Also Moonrise Kingdom was superb!

Off the top of my head:

    Skyfall
    Dark Knight Rises
    Looper
    Amazing Spiderman
    The Avengers

Most have been in the last few months.

Argo - 9/10 at the time, only 7 looking back
Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10 but again, some sleight of hand about it.
    Skyfall
The Artist, around this time last year
Looper I keep meaning to see.
All the Avengers stuff I sort of mean to see, missed the marathon at Prince Charles.
    Can't face The Hobbit.

May give Les Mis and Quentin's film a go! :)

    I saw:

    - The Avengers (ah well, overrated in my eyes)
    - The Expendables 2 (With Lonewolf Norris)
    - The Bourne Legacy (Mutant agent Aaron Cross)
    - Skyfall (3x in a row on European premiere Oct 26th)

    and also have to mention "The Untold story of 007 - Everything Or Nothing", which was private screening and brilliant stuff -{
