I think it is off the shelf, but you would have to ask Donk he knows all about it, he tracked them down in the states somewhere.
It's no secret folks. The holster in question is a Bianchi X15 large with dark olive straps on screen & the lighter tan/beige straps for the photoshoots (see cover of L&LD dvd). Bianchi still make the X15 or at least the model number is still available but the shape of the holster & harness is now completely different to the one utilised by the guys from Southall at Pinewood back in 1972/73. 3 holsters were provided to the production and they are all accounted for in the UK & US. If you are trying to track down an original X15 but not screen used of course you need the model with the additional stitching around the spring retention as there is also a variant with a later plain leather finish modeled on this very thread by our dear friend ED in the good ole US of A.

@ppw3o6r Thank you for the information. Something told me that this holster had to be an off the shelf item since by the time Live and Let Die was in cinemas the S&W Model 29 revolver as used by Bond in the climax and made famous by Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry was becoming a popular hand gun.
