Two of my favourite props

Marge/Gillette Razor and Bart/small Homer.

Singe made these about 3 years ago, they bring back fond memories of him burning his eyebrows off while putting bart together :D
I bugged him for ages to build bart and in the end turned out to be a b@stard to build as it is also spring loaded, but wow I love it.

After Bart came Marge to keep Bart inside, seeing Marge being built was just amazing, I was having visions of all the cool stuff MG could make :D and boy was I right -{

    To explain a little, the head of Marge (the razor) is real, and if you felt lucky enough I guess you could try using it. The handle and adjustment collar are scratch made using the originals for reference. The handle and collar started life as a piece of brass bar, then turned and milled into shape. After machining, it was nickel, then chrome plated. To let you guys in on a little secret, the original didn't feature a screw on end cap, Connery faked the motions of unscrewing it, but if you look closely, there's no threads. I wanted Marge to look and work in a screen accurate way, so she does have a screw on end cap.

    Bart is milled from brass, and is hollow and features a sprung loaded slider. During assembly of Bart I was soldering him together, and I'd not noticed if left my lighter near to where I was working with the gas torch..... suffice to say one explosion and loss of eyebrow later resulted in my new moniker of 'Singe'. :))

    I'd say my favourite item I've made would have to be Maggie, there's a long story there so we'll save that for another time.

    Excellent hearing some of the stories behind the creation of the replicas. Would love to hear some more, perhaps you could start a blog sort of thing on here?
