A few questions about TND

Any TND fans on here that would care to answer these for me? I do enjoy the film quite a bit, so don't take offense to this line of questions.
note- I watched the film last night with the director's commentary track on so the actual dialog of the film is not fresh in my memory.
1. Why is Q wearing a bright red jacket ? Was he supposed to look like an employee for a rental car company? He looks way older than in Goldeneye.
2. "Backseat drivers" Do you like the 4-door BMW? Why even sit in the back seat at all...why not bail out earlier? If he was hit with the bazooka it would also destroy the GPS encoder they were trying so hard to recover. Why did he launch his car into a crowded store front? There could have been many civilian casualties.
3. How did Wai-Lin know the exact location of the Devinshire? Wouldn't only Bond know this since he went to ALL THAT WORK getting the GPS encoder box.
4. What did 007 expect to do once he surfaced from his dive to the Devinshire? swim to shore? At least Wai-Lin had a boat. (reminds me of a scene from FYEO)
5. Why did Bond illegally park his BMW across two stalls like a jackass ? (Need I remind you that Bond has a license to kill, not violate traffic laws)
6. Is Bond getting drunk while waiting for a would-be henchmen? (turns out to be Paris Carver) It clearly shows several shot glasses on the table, however, Bond would likely be reusing the same glass over and over so maybe the table set is a bit misleading. Are those other shot glasses simply extra?
7. Is "Time for a station break" something a British person would say?
8. Do you think the battle on the stealth ship would be better if Bond and Wai-Lin only held ONE machine gun instead of two ? Is that why it's referred to as "Terminator Mode" by some fans ?
cheers

Simply, yes he was in disguise as a rental employee.
Bond hid in the back because the goons would assume he'd be sat in the driving seat. Launching the car off the roof was a ruse so the goons would assume he'd crashed and died, where it was going to land was irrelevant to Bond.
Wai Lin knew where the Devonshire was because she was a member of the Chinese secret service, they knew its true location because only the Devonshire crew themselves were being fooled by 'Guptas little trick with the encoder'.
As Jack Wade said to Bond before he bailed out; "turn on your beacon and the extraction team will pick you up, after dark."
Cos he's James Bond and he really dont give a crap, that and the fact that the car looks better at that angle in a product placement way, and the positioning of the car also gives Bond a better chance at leaving in a hurry without having to reverse.
I only saw one glass and a bottle, any way I think it's just to show Bond drowning his memories of Paris from his past.
No, it's more a piece of terminology used in the TV business than used by the general public.
Makes no difference.
No problem.

He crashes the car into the store - I assume knowing it would be closed at that time ? - not only that...but its the car rental store that the car came from...therefore returning the car
This moment always cracks me up because Pierce's Bond does seem like the kind of stuck up guy who would take up two parking spaces )

Avis to be exact.
Yeah, crashing the car, awful really, usual disregard for collateral damage. That and Brozzer chuckling and having a good time when Paris as dead just a few minutes earlier, still that is Bond for you.

Kind of sad, in a way. That chuckle used to annoy me, but recently it's actually come to make me realize how isolated Bond is from his emotional continuity.
