I've bought the Skyfall Gloves and the Gun Cut Gloves (currently on sale at £21).

The Skyfall Gloves are tight fitting and VERY thin. Nicely made though and look good.
The Gun Cut Gloves are excellent value for money at the moment! A more traditional, lined and well made glove. FAR better value than the Skyfall Gloves in actual fact.

But, of course, not used by 007...

Depends what you want, really. The Skyfall gloves look great, are extremely comfortable and because of the thinness of the leather and the close fit, enable you to do a lot of things that other gloves don't - like fishing keys out of your pockets, dialling your phone, using a bank machine etc etc. They aren't terribly warm, but they do keep the wind out. They remind me a lot of the RAF pilots' gloves: very similar fit and leather.

Can you use an iPhone with them on?

I don't have an iPhone, but it has worked perfectly well with all other touch screens I have used. My gloves are very tight and fit me like a...glove (ha ha!)...and work perfectly.

How are the Bond gloves? Do any of you use them regularly? It's weird how these are unlined but similarly priced Dent gloves are lined. What's the benefit of unlined?

I don't own these gloves but the fact that they are more expensive than the lined gloves is probably because of the Bond connection. Look at the Douglas Pell money clip, the Casino Royale version is more expensive than its bigger brother. Strange because more silver used should mean a higher price.

Agree with peppermill. The unlined gloves were in SF hence screen accurate. I think when people were buying these they weren't deciding on the benefits of lined vs unlined. They just wanted the same gloves bond used. And this probably impacts the price.

I have a pair of the bond unlined gloves and a pair of dents silk lined gloves. The bond pair are good for autumn when you have chilly and windy days. The benefits are they are slim and look very sleek and have great movement.

I use the lined gloves for winter when I need better heat retention. To be honest if it wasn't for the bond connection I wouldn't have bought unlined gloves, as me personally, I get more use of the lined gloves here in London.

They must have gone up as I bought the SF ones in July for £54 - they are a nice glove though

I have always used two pairs of gloves: lined (usually with a cashmere lining), and un-lined (RAF pilot's gloves - thin, tight-fitting calfskin...very much like the Dents). The lined ones are worn on bitterly cold days, the un-lined ones the rest of the time. Un-lined ones have a tight, snug fit and enable me to fish keys out of my pocket, do/undo buttons, and answer my mobile phone.

I actually contacted them about the price difference last year. They stated that the higher price was due to a higher quality material and also that they could charge a lower price on the unlined gloves as they sold more of those.

Surprised no ones posted a photo of the inside of the Skyfall Dents gloves actually. They are unlined but as members have said, very comfortable, not sticky or sweaty or anything like that. Here's a photo:

Thinking of getting the Dents SF gloves. Should have pulled trigger the other day when on sale. Now I see they only have size Large/X-Large in stock. Any thoughts on sizing? I've really started trimming down on sizing in everything so I was thinking Medium before even measuring my hand. And I imagine this should be form fitting as well. But when I measured my hand per the sizing guide, I'm 9 1/2 inches which is the Large size. Anyone care to let me know what size they have and what their hand size is? Thanks!

I measured my hand as per the Dents chart at 9 so ordered Medium. When they arrived I could, literally, barely squeeze my hand it. They actually look more like ladies gloves than mans gloves! So returned those and got a Large. Much, much nicer and now comfortable.

I have a medium-sized pair and they were extremely tight when I first got them. They've subsequently stretched out considerably, though not in such a way that it affects how they look. My only problem is that the fingers are just slightly too long for me, as I have short but wide hands. My suggestion to potential buyers is to go with what the Dent's website suggests based on a hand measurement, and just expect to have a break-in period. If you go for a larger size hoping they'll fit better right away, I think you might end up disappointed when they stretch out a little and get looser.

Just curious, what is your hand measurement?

I think I'll go with large as that is what Dent's suggests as I do measure 9 1/2 inches. If I need to size down, I will but I just hate returning things. Especially to have to ship it overseas.

If your hand does measure 9.5 then you don't stand the slightest chance of getting your hand inside a medium. You picked the right size! :)

I don't have the SF gloves but I do have a number of pairs from Dents. They are fantastic and wouldn't wear any other brand.

To be honest I can't quite recall my exact measurement, and don't currently have a proper measuring tape 'handy'. But based on the Dents website it was clear to me that medium was the size I should go with. My only beef is that they have you measure the width of your hand but not the length, as they seem to just standardize a length for each size and I unfortunately have short hands (and yet, paradoxically, long feet).

I ordered the Large. I'll post a review when I receive them. I've tried on lots of lined gloves recently and definitely think unlined is probably the way to go. Lined gloves seem so bulky. My Dent's tracking number does not work though. So I don't know when they are suppose to arrive.

When I first received mine last year, I found them to be a very tight, exact fit. I didn't wear them very much. I have worn them a few times lately and they have stretched or loosened slightly and they are now a very comfortable, perfect fit! Very nice gloves!! -{ :007)

Skyfall Dents Gloves arrived Saturday via Royal Air Mail. Fantastic gloves, everything I hoped for! Again, my hand measures 9 1/2 inches and the Large was a perfect fit. It takes a slight pull to get them on, so they are not loose at all. And I image they will become even a better fit the more I wear them. As CRB stated, I could not imagine that I could even get my hand in a Medium. Butter soft and very comfortable.

I am very impressed. I was in Chicago recently and tried on many gloves, all of which were very much the same, nothing special. These have a distinct look and feel and seem special. Would highly recommend. One last thing, total cost shipped to my house from the Dents website £54.17 or $89.84 USD. I believe I got the 20% VAT removed and free shipping, nice surprise when I went to check out. The only thing, not a big deal, but they came in a plastic sleeve, that was it. I was expecting a box at least. Again, not a big deal. Great gloves. If you are on the fence, get them.

How far up the wrist do the gloves come? If they're tight around the wrist, then there would be a problem for watch wearers. :(

Relax, these gloves do not cause any problems while wearing your Omega or Rolex! ;)
