This is something that's botherted me for a while - where does the Russian crew of the Potemkin go in TSWLM in the Liparus?

The British crew is released, but what of the Russians?

Does anyone have an answer on this one, or am I missing something?!

I guess they went down with the Liparus, then.

I think this is what they call a plothole, is it not?

Bond releases all the captive crews. Many of them are killed in the fighting aboard the Liparus, including the Russian captain. The survivors (US, UK, Russian) all squeeze into one submarine to escape.

    (from Christopher Wood's novelisation)

Yes, I kind of thought this might have been what happened in the mellee. Most irregular for Russian naval men to go onto an American sub, but it was a Bond film after all!
