Yup. There was a closer version in Navy with the correct back and no leather on collar!

I bought one myself on eBay for $600 about two years ago (sadly gone as it was only a medium)

yeah know what you mean, things have been really argumentative around here of late. there's drama on every thread almost.
However quite tempted to get a bag of pubes on ebay see if anyone snapped them up, problem is mine the wrong colour. Could pass them off as Dalton's....plus you get a free set of cufflinks!

There was one on eBay about a month ago that looked correct measure 46 across the chest and was only 650 dollars kicking myself I didn't buy it for someone on here, sold within an hour of being listed

its a bummer he is not asking a more realistic price. Its such a nice jacket that I would love to own but only at a 1/3 of his price...
  • welshboy78welshboy78 Posts: 10,320MI6 Agent
Hmm I dont see it selling anytime soon so maybe over time he will get down to a more reasonable price!!!!!

Keep in mind that this jacket retailed for $2499.99, so the asking price isn't that far off the mark given the scarcity of it. It's just too bad the seller is claiming it's original to "QoS" and the only version produced when that's clearly not true.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

yeah but this guy lucked out at some clearaance sample sale outlet somewhere!

agreed. I can imagine only a VERY select few paying retail for this. I would wager that most sold were marked down.

Perhaps. But typically reduced TF items get their tags cut and/or red-marked. The TF tag on the inside of this jacket is intact.

The more screen-accurate midnight jackets (with no leather collar and correct back design) sold out very quickly from the TF stores. I would find it hard to believe any showed up in discount stores. TF typically only carries one item per size, per store, for these type of items (jackets/outerwear). It's either buy it when you see it or you most likely won't ever see it again. When I bought mine at full price, another sold within a few hours after.

dont agree with you on the tags being cut/marked. I worked at a Last Call Neiman marcus and we would get Ford stuff in all the time (In fact I was there not too long and they had one of his moleskin peacoats marked down from $3500 to $1,000 and the tags were completely untouched. In fact all of the stuff we got in was untouched) I do agree the SA ones (or more SA ones) sold out but this design only shares enough similiaries and not enough to warrant this guys price. Other ones are out there and will shop up again. And at way less than $3,000.

I agree with you on this point. It's just silly to demand this price based on its' similarities (or lack of) to the "QoS" Harrington. But who knows what people will spend out there. We saw a pair of TF 108s sell for $2K - who would have thought? That's the craziness that is eBay. Look at the Barbour jackets selling for 3x retail price when these jackets are still being made. Granted, at least the Barbour is screen-accurate. ;)

    Kind regards,
    Craig

YEah same here in Italy, they never cut the tags outlets always have the full tag on it and as most of his stuff is made in
florence you can get it cheaper there.

Yes, I also think that it's not the WORST deal in the world. But obviously not a great deal either.

    ...average jacket...extreme price.

The same goes for those 2-3x marked up Barbours. Full retail is a little much for it IMO. It just doesn't fit my tastes.

I agree with you Vinny, have to say though I find it despicable to see fellow members jack up the prices of objects to sell them here, ebay is one thing but to do so on the forum is disgusting in my opinion.

Wow! Bidding actually got up to $3,850 on this jacket! Looks like there is demand after all, even for a non-screen accurate model. Also interesting that it says New With Tags, but I don't see a single photo of the jacket with the tags.

yep. someone thought it was probably screen used or something but all of the bidders only had like 20 feedbacks so who knew if they were legit at all.
