its getting somewhere now..
Flash eliminator machined / milled ready for paint finishing.
Right Hand custom ergonomic pistol grip shaped former plug ready for priming and moulding. (Hasselblad grips all Left Hand)
***HELP***
1. Any advice on the best way to mould, to achieve a solid robust grip with hollow core to enable electronics to be fitted?
2. Anyone in UK know of an electronics boffin that could help me with the small circuit for the dual colour led light sequence?
1. I'd cast the grip in 2 halves of solid resin then mill a cavity out for the guts. A hollow shell might be too flimsy to support the weight of ya hassleblaaaard ya see.
2. Yes I do but he's bloody pricey as he's bloody good. Seen the GE arkangel mines I made? He did the guts for them. It took me long enough to find him but there's no reason why you can't too, google is your friend )
Hi
Not posted for a while and just wanted to update on my 'License to kill' Signature Gun prop project that's been on and off the bench for a while...
Hope you like it,
the grip took a while to remodel, cast, recast and cast again...
Just sorting out the sensory lights now.
Going to box up as Q gave to Bond. Will try and do a clip of the lights etc working once done.
All pieces machined aluminium apart front handle. Really proud of this one as I think it might be as close to the real thing as ever done.
All elements as used on screen, 'and real', all except the camera could still be used as intended (too many mods required unfortunately )
Very VERY expensive but you might get lucky and find one that's seized or something; the repair on these isn't cheap, either, and recently let some go that I simply couldn't justify having serviced. Sadly, didn't think to check if the LTK body might have been in there.
