Casino Royale 2nd best Bond after FRWL

As part of rewatching all Bond films from the Bond 50 and writing blog posts about them, I'm through Casino Royale and I'm pretty confident it's my second favorite of all time. Just amazing. Further analysis can be found below, but mostly curious to hear where it ranks with you all.

I think that CASINO ROYALE is better than FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE . . . and four other movies. And yeah, I would also rank it second best.

Maybe 3rd after FRWL, OHMSS. I'd say it's on par, maybe a bit better than GOLDFINGER. (Yes, I'm a grump about that flick, and THUNDERTURD.) I think the openings a bit weird (I think they shot the Madagascar stuff to be the thrilling PTS, then decided to open with a moody, SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD somber note, then put the real plot after the main titles).
