Rarest item(s) in your collection?

I've been a Bond fan since my parents took me to see Diamonds Are Forever at the cinema in 1971. I pretty much started collecting Bond stuff piecemeal since then.

I guess the rarest item in my collection is this lobby-style poster, which my sister bought for me in about '71 or '72 for Christmas. It was printed in Hamleys, the toy store in London, with whatever name you wanted printed on it. As you can see, it features scenes from the first seven films, and as it was an unofficial item, the images have been changed slightly... but you know what they refer too. It was also intended that you can't see Bond's face... allowing the recipient to fantasise that it really was them playing Bond :))

I lost it for a few years then found it again when I moved house in the mid-90s, and framed it - it's been hanging in a slightly out of the way place since then. Bless her, my wife has never moaned about it.

So what's the rarest item - official or unofficial - in your collection?

You'd have to tell me .... Corgi Toys DB5 from mid 1960s, in box? (Grey, not gold.) DAF Moonbuggy (in box)? LALD tie-in Tarot card deck with all the cards (including promotional), in box? LALD and TMWTGG soundtrack LPs? (Wish I still had my silver double-LP set, 10 year anniversary I think...)

Nothing like what you folks have, I'm sure....

(edit) Oh, I forgot my US 1st edition paperback of OHMSS (see avatar). Probably worth a couple of Doritos Locos tacos at Taco Bell.

Wow! I also have one of the early grey DB5s, and a moon buggy, from the late 60s orvearly 70s... but both are battered and no longer have boxes, which makes all the difference.

Is that the OHMSS wedding ring? I never noticed or realized that those are words. ... My impression is that the ring was a "found" in that jewelry window....

And you call your self a Bond fan :D :v

The ring is something us prop collectors have been after for years, never even thinking that we would get a chance to own one, the one at Christies went for around 5k ? luckily Bondtoys has many contacts and found the original mould, the rest is now AJB history :)

Haha! Well FWIW previously I've only seen the film on VHS on a 25" tv, then DVD on a 29" semi-HDTV ... watched this weekend, and still don't see the ring too clearly. I guess it's time to get that BD. (Some shots I can clearly see optical effects glitches, some serious film damage,....)

And BTW, because I'm so uninformed and unworthy,... what DOES it say?

Im just joking with you :007) The ring is difficult to work out even with bluray, the fact that she is wearing the ring upside down from our aspect don't help either :))

Sorry, I cant tell you what it says :D I have been sworn to secrecy :)

    I'd say rarest stuff in my humble collection are handmade props, made by very talented and gifted artists&researchers of this forum. My favorite being the Thunderball breathing device which Singe (MG) put together with help and intensive research by me Bruv, Pete. -{

My rarest item is probably the Goldfinger US Subway poster on the sole reason I don't know anyone else who has one.

Failing that, the rarest items will be the dedicated autographs I have in my handmade copper books by my artist friend, as well as the books themselves which are one-of-a-kind :)

I have been fortunate in receiving gifts from the set or from the authors themselves and have some unique props and books to enjoy.

I love my SD Briefcase with the recent addition of an AR7 for Christmas from my lovely wife, and I have a couple of corgi LE sets numbered 1007 (corgi keep all the 0007s) but the FE golden Gun number 007 has to be my jewel I guess.

Rarest? Have you forgotten where you put them Bruno? :)

Or did you sell them on for a big profit? 8-)

I recalled very big profit - $2,000+ ties, etc.
