You just made me shed one, perfect, salty tear. Poor little car. Hope it for properly toweled off and tucked into a nice warm garage to dry out.

A car can be handmade, fitted with all modern technological aids and
safety features. It only needs to be driven by a Fool to give it that
    Classic touch. :))

No, I got in one once at some movie fair, it seemed very large to me, feet didn't touch the pedals. But it seems small in the above pic, and not too large for Craig, so dunno.

You can pay to drive a DB4 at Goodwood race track, along with an E-type Jag and some old banger. it's about £200 though. Get the train to Chichester, you only get three laps on each though around the track.

And my dad did have an Aston at one point. A DB6 MkII. The ol' tinker sold it before I got my license though, unfortunately.

A 1964 DB5 that had sat in a barn for 33 years is expected to fetch $300,000 dollars at an auction to be held at Aston Martin's factory in May - and that will be only the new owners downpayment. According to Bonhams, the DB5 was bought by a now deceased owner in 1972, who drove it until 1980, then parked it.

More (Aston porn) for you to look at. One of the four original DB5's made for the films Goldfinger and Thunderball is up for sale for £3 million pounds. It is one of the two that were fully kitted out with all the famous Q gadgets, and is in pristine condition because it never featured in the films but was instead used for promotion ahead of the release of Thunderball.

The FULL article includes numerous pics plus video.

So the Aston in Skyfall was a replica (not just the one that got blown up)? Wonder if they made it a tad smaller so Craig wouldn't look to small stood alongside it.

Yes, they made it a tad smaller - 1/3 scale. Here the same model is shown in comparison with a normal sized woman and Daniel Craig.

Guys, not so fast! Save your money, the gadgets on this are not original. Firstly, the two promotion cars were not screen-accurate to begin with, compared with the gadget car BMT 216A. Then they were rebuilt to standard configuration (as was the original gadget car) by the fools at Aston Martin and sold cheap as normal used cars. 8-)
The gadgets installed in this car are poor replicas (just look at the numberplate housing and the rear lights :# ) made cheaply sometime in the seventies.
