What Action Set-Pieces are you most impressed by out of the Bond films and look forward to each time you re-watch the films? I have a good few so I'll whittle them down to my top 5

5 - Parking Lot/R.C car chase (TND
4 - Ski Sequence (FYEO)
3 - Boat Chase (LALD)
2 - Parkour Chase (CR)
1 - Tank Chase (GE)
....and the best he ever managed was a sermon on the mount.

Skyfall- Not necessarily a chase, but once "Boom Boom" starts playing up until that helicopter crashes into Skyfl lodge, that explosion gives me the chills
    "Better luck next time... slugheads!"

    1. GoldenEye 2. Goldfinger 3. Skyfall 4. OHMSS 5. TWINE

Seems a lot of people don't like the LALD boat chase, but I've always loved it. J.W. Pepper's comedic stuff is a nice variation on the action and thrills/spills.

I guess my fav action set piece has always been the fight with Grant in FRWL. It's fast, furious, bloody, and deadly serious. The battle at the gypsy camp is cool too, with all the mayhem, Bond running through and turning the tide in little ways, and then Grant shooting the guy about to off Bond, leaving Bond thinking, "WTH?"

Has to be when Roger Moore ski off the side of a
mountain ,and his parachute is the Union flag and Bond theme
    kicked in magic
Saw it at cinema ,and whole audiance went ape
still gives me goose bumps today
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I was I was old enough to have seen that scene in the cinema! Great moment.

As for me my favourite action scene is probably the tanker chase in Licence To Kill! There are many others like the Goldfinger car chase at Goldfingers warehouse, the OHMSS ski / car chase, TSWLM Car chase underwater, TLD PTS, Goldeneye Tank chase and Casino Royale PTS! All really good!
    Now, they only eat rat.

So many to chose from, but here are a few:

    FRWL - fight with Grant
YOLT - fight with Sumo wrestler and battle on the docks
    OHMSS - ski chase
    TWINE - pre-title sequence
    CR - construction site chase
"Felix Leiter, a brother from Langley."

I agree - too many to choose from but here are a few more...

    OHMSS - pre-credits fight sequence
    Thunderball - underwater battle
    QoS - per-credits car chase
Goldeneye - the fight and shoot out before the tank chase
TND - pre-credit sequence capturing the plane

Funny how often the pre-credit sequences contain the best action scenes in the whole movie...

Well, for all out savage fight, don't leave out Connery's to the death PTS struggle with Bob Simmons in THUNDERBALL. Ending with a neck breaking crunch, no less.

I'm working on an article on the snake pit action set pieces James Bond gets involved with in the films - it will appear on The Bondologist Blog in due course. I find this very fascinarting subject-matter!

Guy Hamilton's James Bond films were all basically aq string of set pieces stitched loosely together with characters and exotic locations - Fleming fans (post-Goldfinger) of course neeed not apply here!
