    I wanted to post this somewhere on this forum section, but didn't know where would be best. Anyhoo, anyone wanting to get their hands on a Bond book, especially ones that go for silly money on ebay/amazon, should go down to their local WHSmiths.

    They seem to be having a massive clearance sale of old stock and I picked up the "Bond on set - Filming Quantum of Solace" book for a fiver!!!

    The only noticeable damage was a little tear on the outer dust jacket, but I glued that up when I got home and its as good as new.

    They had a few other bits and bobs in there including the "Secret World of 007" book by DK for £7 and "The Art of Bond" for £5.

    (Also got a great volume of Tennyson's poetry from my local Oxfam as well, purely for the Skyfall reference! I love old books and enjoy some poetry anyway, so I'll give it a proper read. Only £1.49!)

    Today's bounty:

    Is the hard back Bond On Set - Casino Royale, quite small??

    My one is tiny compared to the Skyfall Bond On Set which is a bigger book

    (I am referring to physical dimensions not pages)

    I think there's a booklet version, with less pages than the original, that came with the 2 disc DVD release of Casino Royale, then there's the full size (proper) hardback edition :o

    I took this photo a few years back to post on Bond Lifestyle - Casino Royale had just come out, so at that stage I had only bought the Persols (which both Brosnan and Craig have worn).
    I was aiming for the style of the Pan novel covers of the 70s, which I also collect, in the photo.

    I love this - its got the 'just tipped out of a drawer' look! -{

    Your photo tells a story. Its not got the 'fetish' aspect of recreating screen accurate, its not actual props but a collection of objects in a still life pose with a life of its own. Quite refreshing!

    I was fortunate enough to buy it from Turnbull and Asser, along with most of the other Brosnan era ones, when the films first came out... I'm not sure that I could afford them nowadays though!
