What on earth is he trying for in THAT picture....
So Brokeback it didn't even make the final cut, IIRC.
This is when he's digging out the depleted uranium after his PT session, courtesy of Patrice. Don't think you see this shot exactly.
We all know we would........
And there I was thinking it was just him looking for the best rip under that lighting...
(You know, I'd totally forgotten about the urnaium bullet-y stuff. But then, I've only seen the film once; am a bit on the fence about it till I've played the BR to death)

Just watched it again the other night and this is a weak point in the film. If that killer had Uranium bullets he certainly had loads of them. Bond getting shot on the train was blink and miss it so for it to turn out to be pivotal is odd. When I first watched it I thought teh wound was from Moneypenny

I suppose that the mirrors in the Daniel Craig Bond films symbolically reflect the introspection of the James Bond character in these new films where the focus is on character and not on action, stunts and cars so much. The aundance of mirrors therefore seems appropriate from a cinematic point of view. It has nothing whatever to do with vanity IMHO. Bond looked at himself in the mirrors in a number of Fleming's Bond novels too, of course! Hey, this subject matter would make for a nifty article, wouldn't it?
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
Well in the books there are references to his checking himself in the mirror after donning jacket, to ensure his gun wasn't showing.... As a cinematic trick, a character looking in the mirror can imply introspection or reflection. It's a stylish way of showing the character looking back at himself/herself.

Exactly, it's not so strange as all that - that's what I myself said in the post above!

It was better than QS though
Thanks for your vital input on the discussion there. Your eyes tell us so much!
Perhaps you could replace said post?
“It reads better than it lives.” T. Case
Robert De Niro in Taxi
Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast ( such an underated film )

Yes, but there are none of your posts in the above thread, that's the thing!
