Tortures

Write about all the scenes when Bond is tortured, bound or in trouble.
I :x scenes like that from Live and let die with Solitere above the sharks or underwater scene from For your eyes only when Bond and Melinda are bound and pulled though the reef full of sharks. And of course the chair from World is not enough...
I heard that torture scene from Casino Royal is very good too, but I haven't found time to watch the film yet. (I know, I know, but I've been a crazy fan for only few weeks and I'm changing school this year so I have generaly no time.)
Do you remember some other good scenes when Bond is catched/tortured/bound?

We're talking about films, Fleming torture Bond in every book and he is never polite. Unfortunately films are often very different...

Here's as many as I can think of off the top of my head. A lot of them aren't really tortures, mostly just 'Bond in peril' scenes that aren't action sequences. Hopefully at least a few will be what you're looking for!

DR NO: Spider scene. In the hot water pipes scene.
    GOLDFINGER: Laser Scene.
THUNDERBALL: Spine Stretching Machine thing (?). Shark Pool scene.
OHMSS: Trapped in that Cable Car mechanics room.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER: Trapped in the coffin scene.
LIVE AND LET DIE: Shark Pool scene.
TMWTGG: Karate scene (sort of). Being stuck in a car with JW Pepper (probably the worst torture anyone could get)
    MOONRAKER: Centrifuge Chamber scene.
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: Dragged behind the boat scene.
LICENCE TO KILL: Conveyer belt scene.
GOLDENEYE: Tiger Helicpoter Self Destruct scene. Train self destruct scene.
TOMORROW NEVER DIES: A lot of torture talk in this one but none get carried out that I can think of!
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH: Torture Chair.
DIE ANOTHER DAY: General torture scenes at the start
CASINO ROYALE: Poisoning. "Torture Chair 2: The Ballscratcher"
SKYFALL: Getting felt up by Silva

    There's perhaps more that i've forgotten though! -{

    Pepper... ^^
I :x this scene from Licence to kill, it's unfortunately very short, but good. I generaly love Licence to kill and Dalton, he's very unapriciated Bond.
Tiger scene from Goldeneye - I will be never bored with that - Bond bound, unconscious and Natalia shouting. ♡
Die another day is of course very good torture scene, but this film make me hate Judi Dench as M. How could she left Bond in Korea for 14 months? It's more than a year!
Casino Royal... I HAVE TO WATCH THE FILM! My winter holidays starts this Monday, I think I'll finally find time^^

Dalton is my favourite Bond! Always happy to find more Dalton fans, he most certainly deserves more than he has! The fans he does have though always seem to be die hards! :007)

Goldeneye is indeed a classic! I don't think i'll get bored of that scene either but somehow I forget about it when I think of the memorable Goldeneye scenes; i almost forget to put it in the list! The train scene is more engraved in my mind for some reason.

As for Die another Day, what can we say!? It made me hate more than just M! But still I'm proud to say I enjoy it for what it is. I got over the silliness a long time ago so can accept it. It was also the first Bond film I seen and 10 years later I'm still a huge bond fan so it must be good for something!

I'd reccomend Casino Royale hugely! If you like Daniel Craig and torture scenes then you will love it! Just be prepared!

I will see CR for sure. It's nice to see that there is someone who likes Dalton so juch too. I regret he didn't stared more films. I have to download his films in good quality somehow, because my dad has only DVD's with voice over and I hate it! Actors have such an accent, and voice over kills all magic.

There are also several interesting tortures in the following original (and continuation) James Bond novels:

    Casino Royale
    Dr. No
    Goldfinger
    Colonel Sun
    Licence Renewed
    Brokenclaw
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).

There is a rather interesting 'Torture' in the Diamonds are forever Novel, well it's not really a Torture since it's more along the lines of 'Bond getting his head kicked in by a couple of Spangled Mob Thugs'

When I read that part, you could feel that the Jockey knew his time was up. Even though it never explains whether he lived or not, apart from Bond talking about the poor sod. On the Subject of Bonds beating, it's a shame that Flemming never described it. It just cuts to when Bond wakes up with Tiffany talking in his Ear.

Why is it so strange for you, guys? Does the fact that I'm a girl change smth? I'm just crazy at all, my gender isn't important. In any case I'm bigger fan of 007 than a lot of boys... Oh. Well... I'm an unordinary girl.

No... What's this about? I don't like very brutal films (but a little brutal like Casino Royal are good) and I'm very keen on spy stories, you know... James, Mission: Impossible, Jack Higgins and his book series 'Sure Fire', Bourne etc. I also love films like that because, what is strange, they are interesting from psychological side. Maybe it's smth which only I noticed, but e.g. Bonds ARE psychological films, it's even easier to notice, when you know books.
Btw. The scene from book live and let die', used in the film 'For your eyes only', this one with pulling Bond and Solitaire/Melinda through the reef full of sharks - this scene is far better in book. Exactly the moment when Bond starts crying... wow! I really enjoyed reading, now I'm during 'Dr. No'

    The scene form the novel LALD is very well written. -{
I only asked about the Horror Films as I thought you might of been a Fan.
I love the old fashioned special effects of how to Cut soneone's arm off, while
giving the impression it's been done for real, ( One person to play the Body, another
to play the moving hand, a fake bit of arm connecring the two, which can be filled with
dog food etc for the final cut )
Many of the 70's Zombie films used these old techniques. One person playing the victim's legs as
another Plays his top half as he's cut in two.

LALD is very well written factually, but Fleming at all has incredible pen. How he can describe things, he's style of writing, I'm a writer too, and I take care of such a things, I admire him for that. He COULD write and he COULD write very good. But... there's smth interesting in that man and his books. When I read them I'm sure that if I had to describe the man who wrote, he would be completly different to Ian Fleming. I know a lot about him, I read that his books shows his opinions, but I can't see that reading. Smth in this man is very strange, but very interesting.
The horror movies... Well, I don't like them, but the tecniques of filming such a scenes... I love such a tricks too. Well... actually, I want to be a director. ^^
