Though I posted this pic in the NTTD clothing thread already I thought it was relevant here because I think many of us aren't content with just wearing Bonds clothes, we want to look strong and capable in them like Craig does. And as a thin ectomorph like myself its a constant uphill battle but I'm proud of the progress made so far.

Looking good, keep up the great work!

As a longtime distance runner and triathlete I also have to work hard to gain muscle (made harder at 53 years old!!).

    Good work everyone.

I currently am starting a strength routine at the gym with lots of free weights. It's been going well so far as my soreness is really prevalent!

I ran distance in high school and college, and now a few years later have gotten a bit of a gut. So I'm a "skinny fat".

Working on bulking up, while not wanting to balloon.

As a short guy at 5'5, and 140 lbs, maybe I'll look like a more bulkier Ben Whisaw Q with my hair I have right now!

    Gotta love a burpee.....

I’m doing various free weights HIRT circuits (kettlebells, dumbbells etc) at the moment. Planning on around 4 weeks of this before a more focussed plan to build muscle.

"Skinny Fat" Love it! :)) As a runner also and somebody who takes a 'ridiculous pleasure in what I eat and drink' I can definitely relate to your physique! {[]

It's tough! But hopefully bulking up will even it all out and eliminate the belly a bit. It's a long road ahead.

This is true for anything other than a suit. One reason why the suit pictured on Craig looks so bad is that his physique is difficult to tailor. An overweight Roger Moore in The Persuaders looked better in a suit. In knitwear it helps to have Craig's physique. Then again, I know some women who would say the skinny man on the right looks better.

I definitely thought of your past observations regarding the super-tight fit of DC's suits in SF and SP and how they fight against his physique rather then accentuate it. And also agree regarding the two bottom pictures, the guy on the right of Craig doesn't look bad at all!

I respectfully disagree, it is true that the fit of DC suits in SF and S were suspect, in my opinion if a suit is properly fitted nothing looks better or more powerful than a muscular physique in a nice properly tailored suit. Just my .02 cents.

I think they should’ve used a more contrasting pic for the dress shirt comparison; I can’t really see much of a difference between the two.

Yes I agree with you. And we mustn't forget that Bond/Craig clothes, even shirts, are tailored for him !!! I'm not sure the guy on the right wears a tailored shirt and trouser.......and I think he is not so bad at all !!!!

    I agree it’s a poor comparison.
    Yes. Considerably!

I think garment overall, in particular dress shirts, should be filled out so to speak. For that reason being muscular gives a more appealing look than being lean. Everthing in moderation of course. Has to be natural; some people are athletically built and others are not.

Definitely prefer DC over the guy to the right.
Looking for a ROYALE Filmwear Talamone Shawl Collar Cardigan, size medium. Preferably in Europe, but the US would work as well. Feel free to send a PM!

If I find myself in lockdown I’ll be doing extra workouts. I always find my training to be great for body and mind. Remember you don’t need much space or equipment to get the job done. Look after yourself everyone.

How’s everyone doing on the Bond 25 Fitness Challenge? I’m lucky as I train at home anyway so not much change for me on the training side. I’ve increased my calories slightly recently though but do need to keep away from chocolate jar :))

How's everyone been doing during COVID? Has your fitness center finally opened back up?
My gym opened up about a month and a half ago and I've been doing mostly cardio to burn off the "quarantine 15".
Not surprisingly Craig still looks Bond ready in isolation.

I will share this as it might be something that others would like to try, when the whole lockdown started, besides my normal gym time (yep, gym is in my home) I was lucky enough to purchase a weight vest before all fitness gear was sold out. Started fast walking with about 30#s in the vest, I'm up to 60#s now and walk anywhere from 25 minutes on a tight schedule day to an hour on the weekends or days off, overall have averaged about 45 minutes per day the last two months. The vest was from ebay for about $45 and I found a DIY on youtube to stabilize standard weight plates inside the vest and I have loved it. Have dropped about 15lbs and really feel great. My legs don't tolerate running so much anymore, so this has been a great alternative for me.

I second that, Bosoxfan - run with a weight vest for 35 minutes and, afterwards, you'll feel fast as lightning when it's off. I do resistance band training for 45-60 minutes and then close out with 20 minute weighted vest jog to keep bodyfat at bay.

I used to train with a weight vest when I was at uni, but I now live in the centre of a not necessarily big but important city and my morning run takes me past a lot of big government buildings, national monuments, galleries, museums, archives etc and I'm afraid that if someone doesn't know what a weight vest is, an...awkward...situation might arise—the vest does look rather "unusual". So I keep it now for my treadmill runs.

    Probably a very good decision

I’m still grinding it out on the gym floor and have added some running to my programme as well.

still on this plan, outdoors, which is great. have added a 20 minute stretching routine which is a great cool down and help with mobility (age doesn’t come alone).

It gave me the stamina to go from running 7 miles one week, to a half marathon the next, to a marathon the week after. I’ve never run for exercise and these were progressively my longest ever distances. Not recommended! It was really 50% ignorance and 50% sheer bloody mindedness. :s

Guys I've recently had to stop my PT training due to covid which has effected my business only on a small scale thankfully, but it meant this luxury has had to go.
I continued to train on my own in my garage until lockdown was over and then returned to the gym.
I'm not out of shape by any means but would like to put some muscle on and a be a bit more learner.
I'm 49 years old and have been following the VSHRED programme app , theres lots of chest exercises in there and its 6 days a week.
Struggling with tightness injuries due to my rotating cuff surgery i had a year a go and committing to those days consistently.

Do any of you use the P90 workout ? do you recommend it or do you recommend anything else.
I just want to find something i enjoy and produces results and reduces injuries, I also train alone and want to continue going to the gym.

    Thanks for your help

I have done P90X 1, 2 and 3, all are good but definitely have different commitment levels. 1 is intense, but is an hour plus each day. I enjoyed most of the workouts, but couldn't really ever get into the Yoga one, it was well over an hour and just not my cup of tea I suppose.

P90X 2 I didn't really care for at all, too many odd exercises and moves for my taste.

P90X 3 was probably my favorite, but I can't say the results were anywhere near what I got from the original, but the workouts are a more manageable amount of time. I think if you could do the resistance workouts from P90X 3 and the cardio from P90X original you would have a pretty doable and effective program.

If cardio is more what you are looking for, I also did Insanity, it pretty much kicked my butt a lot of days. Good luck

Rookie here..... 2020 was a tough year for the world, but it feels like I finally changed my eating habits and got down to the bottom of the psychology of it, losing about 25 pounds.

It's tough to find some basic dumbbbell training videos, and I hate to be that guy, but..... anyone have any tips\videos\resources they found helpful? Some real nuts and bolts\101 stuff.
    Yes. Consssssiderably.
