over critical ?

does anyone think that some people are over critical on here ? ive been a bond fan for 40 years now and some of the things people say are really silly .the bond films are really good all of them .and they are not real you know they are fun and are an escape . ?

My guess is that most of us truly love most/all the bond films, but just some more than others, and so nitpick every now and then - maybe just a case of it seeming more critical than it actually is?

Although the great AVTAK is overly criticised I admit! *Cough*Blackleiter*Cough* )

Guilty as charged! ) I watched AVTAK again last night because the G4 network is featuring Bond films this month, and I stand by my criticisms. But I watched anyway because I'm a Bond film fan. That means 9 times out of 10 if there's a choice between watching a Bond film and watching something else on TV, I'm watching the Bond film. But man, it was tough going seeing Roger Moore huffing and puffing his way through the fight scenes! )

I plead guilty to being overly critical; and I just ordered a DVD of YOLT to partially make amends (I haven't owned it in a LONG time due to my hyper-criticality).
But I still can't bring myself to own or watch FYEO or AVTAK again yet.
It's a twelve step process, I guess... )

This is a forum that's all about words, and words generally express or call out negativity, otherwise we're all gushing and praising and it gets a tad repetitive.

I also should point out that those who like Skyfall post about it less, it's just the way.

I don't get that... given the chance, I could (and have) gush endlessly about TLD, TB, or TND... why wouldn't a big fan of Skyfall seize that opportunity similarly? ?:)

Yes, I think we can be critical, but that's the real world, isn't it - everyone has different opinions on the berst and indeed the worst of James Bond. It would indeed be tiring if we all agreed on everything!

I think it's like a radio phone-in when blokes call in to bitch about how badly their footie team is doing, it's the macho male ego saying, I could do better than that... Not admirable, but it's a trend, and I don't excuse myself from it.
