Skyfall Swim Trunks

I'm a big guy, 6'4/6'5 coming in around 250, so was pleasantly surprised when I found a pair of Skyfall Orlebar Brown Setter swim shorts in a size close but a tad bigger than what I wear...thought they were a good price..Let's hope they fit as good as they look otherwise they'll be up for sale here.

Pretty damn excited to add these to the already growing Bond Gun and Watch Collection...

Just got them in the mail yesterday...Returningson, you def need a pair of these...I watched a video on their website about how they hand make everything, from cutting to sewing material...they are fantastic quality, and mine even came with the waterproof bag to keep the rest of your clothes dry when in your suitcase, which I was not expecting. They are awesome.

Igot my budget look-a-like pair from ASOS £19.00 almost identical
and dam lucky too i wore them for the very first time in Lucca in Tuscany
and when i got out of the drivers seat (left hand drive ) i got the hand brake caught in the pocket
(hand brake is by the door ) and promptly ripped the backside out of them DOH
so if i had got the OB i would have been furious
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I wonder what kind of warranty orlebar would do for an incident like that. Wonder if they would have even ripped in the first place...

After some more investigation, I ended up receiving the Orlebar Brown Bulldog shorts, not the Setter shorts :( like was listed in the auction...the only difference is the length and the size of the leg opening, which I'm actually OK with because I have long legs and I think the setters would be too short for me....still contacting the seller to try to work out something. Still, $80 is not a bad deal for a $240 pair of trunks.

Good pics Returningson, thanks for posting.

I'm mulling over getting a pair of these for a forthcoming hol, but read some fairly worrying things on another forum about colour fading etc.

Anyone have any experience of that here?

mine have been through some washes and the color is still perfect. As long as you wash with cold water, you should be fine imo

I have a pair in a darker blue and they've been through the wash a few times without any discolouration... which would probably be more noticeable with the darker blue.

They are very comfortable and, in Canada, they are very different from the normal "boarder" shorts that are 12 sizes too big and that everyone seems to wear.

just got done with a swim with these (my pool is heated). Awesome shorts! Seriously, they just work so well in the water, not constricting or dragging in any way. And, once out, they seem to air dry within minutes. Best swim trunks I ever bought.

So ended up working $15 off the price of the shorts because of the incorrect listing...$65 for a pair of OB swim trunks in a size that is the correct size/height ratio to that of what 007 wears and the same exact color is what I call a steal...

For anyone interested I came across this Italian site with the Orlebar Brown Setters (Sky) on sale

    101 euros (down from 145) - sizes 30 to 36

Anyone noticed the sizing on these shorts has changed? I bought a pair of Sky last year and bought a red pair (rescue red) in the same size recently but the fit is much tighter than my pair from last year. I am hoping there will be so e give in the fabric or they are going back

Have to say the shorter Springers look rather cool as well very Connery and I suspect in competition/ answer to Sunspel recent release B-)
