Who misses the Bond film posters of the 60s and 70s?

I do. They were far more interesting, witty and better illustrated that the bland ones of recent years.

I always sound like some old duffer but,................................
You are correct the modern crop of movie posters are all
crap, a still from the film with mabey a small insert or two.
Where as the Older posters ( Not just Bond ) were works of art.
Almost acting like a trailer to help sell the film. Still have my old
LALD poster, My favourite from all the Bonds.

I was born in'94 so I at least had the luxury of living through the Brosnan posters. TWINE is my favorite.

Imo, the Craig posters are so simple. They're not very entertaining to look at.

However, I do own DN, AVTAK (a favorite of mine), and DAD posters. I really enjoy them!

Today's film posters in general are so uninspiring... I took a graphic design class last year and appreciate photo manipulation using today's software, but the art of, well... ART is lost. I miss artistic representations of yesterdays posters... especially the Bond posters!

I do because in general the older posters were much more fun than the current crop.

Few films posters are hand-drawn/painted, anymore, which is pity. The last one for a Bond film was for “A View to a Kill”, I think.

Yes, the James Bond film posters now are so plain (deliberately, one assumes) as the films have become less about glitz and more about characterisation...this has seemingly carried over into the film posters, also. Sad, but such is life. :#

They reflect other movies out there, that said posters like Dark Zero Thirty seem more exciting.

The Living Daylights marked the beginning of lame 007 posters. Although the one handrawn version with Dalton in the gun barrel is cool.
    My current 10 favorite:

I don't necessarily miss painted/drawn posters but I do miss good designs. It's so rare to see a good movie poster these days that I actually stop and stare when I do see one!
