Does anyone else hate the box art/white poster?

It's so bland. And that giant black 007 logo absolutely ruins whatever minimalist look they were going for.

In my opinion, from an aesthetic standpoint, any one of these would have been much better:

Tan logo to complement the smaller one above:

Green logo to complete the film's color palette (Shanghai):

Blue logo to match the suit:

Faint white logo just for style:

Or omit that blasted thing altogether:

Thoughts??

I have no complaints. I just wish they'd go back to the old covers that Brosnan had. DAD was one of my favorites (ice cover, not blue).

I wasn't a fan of the white poster. I liked the advance teaser design better.

Neither one captured the "feel" of movie very well, really. They were little more than generic Bond publicity art.

Agreed. It's almost like they can't be bothered to design a proper poster at all. And the suit looks too blue, more French navy than midnight blue, like a 70s prom dance suit in this photo.

Bring back the McGinnis /McCarthy style artwork!

I really like it as released, though I think that soft white 007 logo looks good. I hate the colored versions and blank background.

It seems like a sexy, modern ballroom minimalist advertising. I like it. Not as good as some of the classic posters or Casino Royale's, but it has a striking and clean look.

I prefer the Craig walking out of the Gunbarrel poster. I don't mind the ducking shot pose, but its underwhelming for a 50th anniversary film. I also don't like how they have 007 on there two times!

The DVD cover is so very boring. I do like how it is white though, as it makes it different to the rest and feel 'fresh' if that makes sense.

BUT... Every single other bond DVD of mine has some sort of scene/characters from the film on the front cover, with locations featured in the films etc. Skyfall has none of these - just DC standing there. No locations featured, no Silva, nothing.... Why couldn't they have just used that poster of bond outside of Skyfall lodge?

Just loved driving to work every day in October and seeing it all over London..same thing happening all over again ow it's been released on DVD. I guess in another week or two that'll be it. Just the long 18 month wait for Bond 24...already excited!

Well, at least they stopped doing the 007 logo like they did in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. I thought that was so stupid to align the two O's in both names and simply put a seven underneath it.

One thing that is really noticeable in a good way about the art is this: when scrolling through the Amazon streaming offerings, the Skyfall film really stands out among a sea of multicolored and busy/illegible cover art. I wonder if that was deliberate? Still, I like it.

Not a fan... However, I'm pleasantly surprised by the back cover:

Boring! I thought they would make it "fit in nicely" with the Bond 50 package (which I don't have)... I am collecting the individual Blu Ray releases, but this still sticks out like a sore thumb!

I do agree it does stand out, so would be easy to spot on a shelf.
Although I did think some of the Fan Made Art work was Briliant.
I'd of hoped for the 50th they would of made a special "Old Style "
    Poster cover.

Every Craig teaser poster has been superior to the final art.

That said, I don't mind the fact that Skyfall is "different" on my shelf, as its the 50th anniversary. But I am glad it's teh UK steelbook that's on there!

Agreed, they can't seem to decide what colour they want his dinner suit to be. In the film it was made to look so dark that I didn't realise it was blue until somebody pointed it out afterwards, but now they have gone all in for the blue look so that even the lapels look blue. In the casino scene his shirt was so airbrushed that it looked like silk satin rather than marcella. If you ask me costume needs some representation in the editing room!

I would've preferred the gunbarrel poster with Craig in the middle and London behind him myself. Mind you, this cover we're lumbered with wouldn't be too bad if we're given a choice between having a copy of Bond on the cover or one of the other characters.
