    I've always wanted the real golden gun toy they released at the time of the TMWTGG film - does anyone know how such a weapon can be acquired at all?

    Yes, that's the sort of thing I had in mind. Is that golden gun toy gun from the time of the 1974 film - it looks nothing like the golden gun of the film?! :s

    As far as I know, there were no toy/replica of the actual Scaramanga's Golden Gun until in 90's when S.D. Studios released their prop replica of the famous gun in cinematic history. -{

    And of course later Factory Entertainment released their version in late 2010.

    Yes, this golden gun looks much more like the revolver on the front of the Pan paperback edition of Ian Fleming's The Man with the Golden Gun novel, 1966 paperback edition. It is said that this is one of the very few marketing props made for the film The Man with the Golden Gun. Is it true that there were miniature versions of Scaramanga's golden gun available on the film's release, too?

    I only know about toy guns which were inspired by TMWTGG movie and made by Lone Star. Haven't heard or seen a revolver type as seen on the cover of the book, but it doesn't mean no one made some back in mid 70's or later.

    For further information i'd contact AJB member Voituer as i understand he's quite an expert with vintage toys or Bondtoys -{
