Now that SF is out, and a bit of time has gone by, what is your favourite so far of Craig's three?
Mine is
-wait for it-
QOS. Yep, there is just a kinetic energy I love (apart from the nausea-cam) and I also appreciate that the girl doesn't die. ) -{
Plus I like the score.

Now for my choices, I rank the Craig films as follows:
Casino Royale
Skyfall
Quantum of Solace.
I prefer the term "singular". :v

2. CASINO ROYALE
3. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
QOS continues to grow on me but I prefer the visual stylings of the other two.
1. CR
2. Skyfall
3. QOS
I personally didn't like Quantum much at all, not only the worst Craig movie, but also one of the weakest movies in the entire franchise. (in my oppinion.) Skyfall was a great recovery from Quantum. It was a real Bond movie again with an engaging plot that kept you wondering and most of all caring. Quantum didn't do that for me. I remember walking out of the theatre's in 2008 having really mixed feelings, I couldn't put my finger on what to think about the movie...
Some quick personal reviews:
#1. Skyfall:
In my oppinion, simply one of the best Bond movies of all time, I'm sure in a couple of years this movie will still be recognized among fans as one of the all-time greats of the franchise.
It all worked so well for me, Craig did an amazing job, it actually took me untill this movie to be truly convinced that Daniel Craig owns the role of James Bond. The introduction of a young Q was clever, Bardem was a very memorable villain and did an amazing job. Bérénice Marlohe was also very strong, (and hot!) shame she didn't stick arround longer in the movie. She had a very intresting character...
The death of M was pretty emotional, even though I kind of predicted before hand that she would proberbly get killed in this movie and that Fiennes was going to take over, it was still a darn good scene when it happened... Although for a brief moment I was put on the wrong foot thinking Mallory got killed instead of M in the courtroom.
There were so many moments in this movie that put a big smile on my face, and somehow made me feel proud to be a Bond fan. Like the moment the DB5 was revealed, or that tiny moment when Craig simply straightened his cuffs. And of course the whole ending. I was genuinly suprised to see that Eve was the new Moneypenny. When I saw the old office back with that leather door and Bond standing in front of the new M, it felt like the circle was complete again. What a fantastic ride! I walked out of the cinema thinking, yes! - This was a Bond movie!
#2 Casino Royale
I think the whole world pretty much agrees that there couldn't have been a better reboot after Die Another Day... Much like Skyfall, this movie is ranked in my personal top 5. So I guess the Craig era did a great job for me so far. Much like Skyfall, Casino Royale is one of the best Bond movies in the franchise. And I don't think I really need to explain why. So I am going to keep this a bit short. The gunbarrel opening introduced a great refreshing start to a whole new era of Bond. The cast was very strong, the poker game was tense. And most of all, the movie wasn't relying on big action set pieces and stunts anymore. It was all about Bond as a character again. And the whole thing of Bond falling in love and then losing her is all much better done then in OHMSS in my oppinion. - Great movie.
#3 Quantum of Solace
Skyfall and Casino Royale both rank in my personal top 5. Sadly enough I rank Quantum of Solace in my bodem 5... The movie is a mess.. The shaky camera is an issue, though not the reason why the movie is so bad. Somehow I wasn't able to follow the story on first viewing, it was very confusing. And I think this is the only Bond movie that had that happening. There were mainly action scenes, and most of them were actually pretty good. But Quantum does the complete oppossite of Casino Royale, it relies on action set pieces only. The rest was all pretty bad. Mr. Green was proberbly the most boring Bond villian ever, and who ever remembers Elvis? The henchman of this movie??? - I didn't even know he was called Elvis untill doing research later on, I proberbly already forgot about him when I walked out of the theatre's... The whole story about oil and water wasn't engaging enough for me...
If I had to name some upsides to the movie: "ALFA ROMEO's in the opening credits (Kind of raised with an Alfa Romeo craze :P) There wasn't anything wrong with Daniel Craig's acting either, he did what he could.
When I heard about the writers strike later on, all I could think was: "That figures..."

and then a huge drop to QoS
Don't get me wrong, Skyfall is one of the few bond films that a non-bond fan can really enjoy. and has a great villain, but the bond gal never kept my interest, and skyfall at times felt like a really good Jason Borne film then a bond film. While CR is a bond film.
1. Skyfall
2. Casino Royale
3. Quantum of Solace
"Kara, we're inside a Russian airbase in the middle of Afghanistan."
Plus, I think Mads Mikkelsen and Javier Bardem were fantastic villains. The only difference is that I was already a fan of Bardem before Skyfall. CR made me a fan of Mikkelsen, and led me to see his other work, so that also gives it a slight edge. Skyfall does have one aspect I didn't like. Killing Severine when they did. It was a bit of a surprise, but also a let-down.
And is it just me, or does Bond have a really bad success rate with women under the Craig reign. Connery lost some, as did Brosnan. Moore lost four, but that was over the course of 7 films. Lazenby famously lost one. Dalton never lost any of the women he was with, but Craig has lost, four already? He's turning into the Jessica Fletcher of James Bonds!
Skyfall
Casino Royale
and a distant third Quantum of Solace
1: Brosnan 2: Craig 3: Moore 4: Dalton 5: Connery and 6: Lazenby
From my perspective, Skyfall is a very good action film, but it is only an Ok Bond film and has been overated. As much as I enjoyed it, it has clunky plot holes, is self indulgent and tries hard to be clever and intellectual, like the Nolan Batman films. Also like the bat films, this aspect just doesn't work! The primary plot is the bad guys planto discredit M, with Bond's background / upbringing / "tired old hack agent" threads as padding. Interesting pieces, but disjointed when plapped together. Will I still watch it and enjoy it? Of course! However it is not the Best Bond film regardless of the hype.
QoS. The only Bond film I can't watch due to the awful editting. Storyline was a bit flat too! The editting automatically puts it at the bottom of my Bond list though.
I haven't enjoyed a Bond movie this much since GoldenEye.
"You must give me the name of your oculist."
DC was so good in it.

Casino had fantastic performances all round and some great action scenes and dialogue, but Skyfall moved in a totally unexpected direction and really moved the goalposts, as it were. Skyfall is one of the few Bond films where the ending was even better than the first half.
Quantum was the opposite, I love the PTS and the Palio sequences but it ran out of steam a little IMO.
Though the Quantum soundtrack is by far the best, and Skyfall's the weakest.
1. Skyfall- Easily takes the lead with it's exceptional acting, funny and witty dialogue, perfect villian and a perfect portayal by Craig. Defiently his best in the sense of how he played the Martini loving spy.
2. Quantum of Solace- Okay, don't swear at me, but this one just slips in front for the whole feel of the movie for me is great. How Bond actually feels like a badass for once since the Dalton era is awesome. The shaky camera doesn't bother me and I love the score. I get a huge kick from watching the Bell Tower Chase scene and the dialogue is done well
3. Casino Royale- Still a great film, and defiantly the best Reboot possible. Love Vesper, the fight scenes and the end is wrapped up and done nicely. Little niggle-'Why on earth did Bond diss the shaken not stirred comment'!!

Well, I'll try to "Diatribe Another Day" as best as I can!
QOS
CR
QOS and CR are very close. They're about equal. I think CR is a better film, but QOS I'd rather watch as it doesn't last a million years
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
"It's not difficult to get a double 0 number if your prepared to kill people"
Well, that said, if watching them back to back, bearing in mind CR is long and QoS short, what would be a good time in CR for an interval?
Roger Moore 1927-2017
Good question. I would say maybe just after Le Chiffre's death, but it may depend on what mood I'm in. I've never actually watched them back to back on the same day, maybe I should.
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
Perhaps the ABC channel that carved up OHMSS in the 70s could have a bash at reediting. I think CR would work better as a flashback personally, from the vantage point of early QoS.
