I'm with others that Connery had the best introduction. Moore, without a question, had the worst introduction. He's in bed, gets up and answers the door. But it introduced him as James Bond the lover..
With the exception of Moore's introductory scene, I'd say all of them are really great. But I'll take a crack at ranking them all as well:
6. Moore
Not a bad scene in and of itself, just really lackluster as an introduction for a new actor. Moore is great in it, and as was already pointed out, he shows us what to expect in his tenure, but compared to all the other introductions, it really just doesn't hold up.
5. Dalton
As I said before, all of the intro's other than Moore's are GREAT, so my ranking Dalton's fifth is really not doing it justice I suppose (sorry to dispute chrisisall ). Though I think it lacks the style that the other introductions do, Dalton really does instantly make the role his own with this introduction. It's also worth noting, as others already have, that Dalton's Bond says nothing throughout the sequence, not till he gets on the boat and says "Bond, James Bond" with a hard-edged stoicism we haven't seen in the character before. Again, sorry to rank it fifth, because overall, it's pretty brilliant.
4. Brosnan
With Brosnan's introduction we get all the positive aspects of his tenure. Smooth style, crisp cool action, and Brozzer's own brand of charm. "Beg your pardon, forgot to knock." Just all around great stuff!
3. Lazenby
This was the first time a replacement actor was introduced, and Peter Hunt did a damn fine job. The sight of Bond driving the aston martin with a cool, laid back version of the Bond theme playing is quite infectious, and the shadowy lighting throughout and the hiding of Bond's face until he utters the famous line is a helluva lot of fun. Lazenby also looks great throughout. The whole "This never happened to the other fella" schtick hasn't aged too well, but it's also iconic in a weird way. In the end one of the great scenes of the series IMO
2. Craig
The reboot. It's all there in Craig's intro. The black-and-white, the cutting back and forth between the two kills, the tension between Craig and Dryden, brilliant and unexpected way to bring in the new Bond AND the new timeline.
1. Connery
"The scene introducing Connery as James Bond in Dr No has to be one of the finest introductions of any character in the history of cinema." You said it Wicker Man! I debated for a minute between Connery and Craig for the number one slot, but in the end, you just gotta go with the original when it comes to the introduction. Since Connery uttered the immortal "Bond. James Bond" in Dr. No, no one has done it better, not even Connery himself in subsequent films. It's just the best. That's all there is to it.
Well, Connery's intro is literally the only original one (being the first), so it's iconic for a few reasons. It's very good, and introduced the idea of the intro in the first place.
I think Dalton's is fantastic, too. I also like Craig's.
Dalton is my fav Bond, with Craig second. Connery 3rd, mainly due to YOLT.
"It is better to be as well dressed as possible to stave off, at least for a very little bit, the total collapse of civilization"

No argument from me, Dutchfinger. It's not just a great Bond movie moment, it's a great movie moment.
...this sums it up beautifully. The execution of Bond's intro was cinematically perfect: I don't think it ever will be bettered, there is too much screen language being invented here (on a similar level to Eisenstein's Odessa Steps sequence in "Battleship Potemkin").
1...Connery, style personified.
2...Lazenby...A great pre title sequence, and the "this never happened to the other fella" is legendary.
3...Craig....great mystery and darkness in the pre credits,
4...Dalton..Another great pre credits sequence.
5...Brosnan
6...Moore, truly terrible introdution, in a terrible first hour of a film.
