Factory entertainment to release Breathers replica!

I found out the other day through a website I visit regularly that factory entertainment will be releasing a limited edition breathers set in Q3 2013.

    I really don't understand FEs marketing.
    We have a spanking new movie which grossed over a Billion, the DVD is brand new and they announce 2 props from 1966 and 2002 8-) instead of doing the obvious thing.

    Markus, I can see it from Barry's point of view a little. He estimates that it takes at least one year from flash to bang. Given that they were only just starting principle photography this time last year it makes sense, I doubt that a year ago the radio or PPK grips had even been made outside of a rough prototype. Others may wish to chime in here and shoot me down. I think we'll be looking at next Christmas earliest for an SF offering from FE, and let's not forget that anything they bring out in between times slows down the briefcase and that just will not be acceptable :p

    Hello Andy,

    I understand your point - but I am pretty sure that the radios have been existing last summer - insider info ....

    If it really takes 1 year to get everything done, this should give enough time until Q3.

    Additionally, these are not so complex so that if someone is really pushing hard - they would not be ready in 6 months.

    If it would be my company..... - well how many years am I working now on the egg? 8-)

    Fact is that those that have remained skeptical that FE would take any notice of the numerous lists and appeals from fans and collectors regarding the sort of props they'd like to see (and buy) can feel very smug. :s

    When you look at the list of items produced so far or now leaked, it's irrefutable that most have been well covered by others.

    Then we see this "pair"

    I'm not alone I'm sure, in thinking this is an odd choice.

    To be fair to FE, they would have released the Skyfall tracer by now, or at least announced it, but the guy involved in making it for FE is a petulant sod who wanted a lot of ££££ per unit than would make it viable for FE to produce for us at a realistic RRP. Therefore, I doubt we'll see it in the near future. Shame. The PPK/S grips are not ever going to be made.

    Factory Entertainment did you very good job with the Thunderball and DAD breathers. Hopefully there will still be the possibility that they will produce and continue with the Octopussy Faberge egg they annouced some time ago. Fingers crossed.
